The Walking Dead maker Skybound Entertainment is pushing into the unscripted game.
The firm has hired ex-Catalina Content exec Brent Jacoby to head up the new division, which will tap into pre-existing Skybound IP such as AMC smash The Walking Dead and Amazon Prime Video’s Invincible.
Jacoby will be focused on quickly expanding the global unscripted TV slate, although Skybound didn’t delve any deeper into his strategy. He joins at the same time as former MGM TV VP Chris Goble, who takes up the newly-created SVP of Television role. Both will report to TV President Glenn Geller.
Jacoby joins from Sky Studios-backed Catalina where he developed the likes of The Mighty Underdogs for Discovery+. Prior to that, he led the development team for ITV America’s Outpost Entertainment, working for the likes of Discovery, A&e, Food Network and Science Channel including History’s Knife or Death.

Olivia Williams and Jodhi May have been cast in Max’s “Dune: The Sisterhood” (working title) following the exits of previously announced cast members Shirley Henderson and Indira Varma. Henderson departed the series amid “creative changes” made in February, while Varma’s departure was due to scheduling conflicts.
Additionally, Anna Foerster is now set as a director on the series, replacing Johan Renck, who departed at the same time as Henderson.
In November, series creator Diane Ademu-John stepped down as co-showrunner, but she remains involved as executive producer.
Williams will play Tula Harkonnen, while May plays Natalya. Set in the world of “Dune” 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, the series follows the Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect known as the Bene Gesserit. The prequel is based on the novel “Sisterhood of Dune” by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.

Warning: contains spoilers for the Succession season four finale.
In the final scene of British comedy Peep Show (2003 – 2015), longtime flatmates Jez and Mark are watching TV and idly swapping murder methods they’d use on each other. “Aw,” Jez thinks in voiceover as he gazes fondly over at Mark, “we do love each other really.” In silence, Mark looks back at Jez as his own inner monologue concludes, “I simply must get rid of him.”
Roll credits.
It’s the perfect ending to a nigh-on perfect male friendship comedy – funny, unsentimental, and truthful. You can be married to somebody, related to somebody, or like Mark and Jez, be two mismatched socks paired up by tumble dryer static decades ago who never had the wherewithal to peel yourselves apart, and still never know what another person is really thinking.

Portrayal of Guilt have announced a new album, Devil Music, arriving April 20th via Run for Cover.
The LP is the most ambitious effort from the Austin band to date. It features five new songs on side A and a re-imagining of those five songs on side B using strings, acoustic bass, and brass. In a striking move, guitarist-vocalist Matt King’s rasps and howls remain in the mix on the orchestral versions.
Ahead of the album’s release date, Portrayal of Guilt have offered up the entirety of side B, which soundtracks a short film directed by Emmanuella Zachariou. The full 15-minute clip functions as a medieval silent film, with stark black-and-white cinematography and occult imagery (some Nsfw). Zachariou cited inspiration from films such as the Czech epic Marketa Lazarová, ’90s black metal promo photos, and dungeon synth pioneer Mortiis, among other sources.

HBO Max’s “Dune” prequel series, currently known as “Dune: The Sisterhood” is undergoing further “creative changes” as director Johan Renck and star Shirley Henderson have departed the project, TheWrap has learned. The overhaul comes months after creator Diane Ademu-John’s exit as co-showrunner last November.
“As ‘Dune: The Sisterhood (wt)’ has entered a pre-scheduled hiatus, there are some creative changes being made to the production in an effort to create the best series possible and stay true to the source material,” an HBO Max spokesperson told TheWrap. “Johan Renck has completed his work on the series and a new director will be brought on; through mutual agreement, Johan is moving on to pursue other projects. Additionally, Shirley Henderson will be exiting the series and will no longer be playing Tula Harkonnen.” The aforementioned hiatus had been pre-planned to avoid filming during the winter.

Exclusive: Amazon Studios is finalizing deals for Criminal, a TV adaptation of Ed Brubaker and artist Sean Phillips’ bestselling crime comic book series, sources tell Deadline.
Details are scarce but the project, written by Brubaker, who serves as executive producer and showrunner, is described as an interlocking universe of crime stories based on his award-winning comic book series. Nick Pepper, Amazon Studios’ Head of US SVOD TV Development and Series – Wholly Owned, and his lieutenant Matt King, Head of Tentpole, Genre and Universe Development of wholly owned content, are believed to have championed bringing in Criminal for development. As President of Legendary Television, Pepper signed Brubaker into a development deal there in 2019 and, along with EVP Development King, put Criminal in development at the indie studio, which is expected to...

Peep Show, the long-running British comedy starring David Mitchell and Robert Webb, is getting another shot in the U.S.
FX has ordered a pilot for this latest remake attempt written by Atlanta and What We Do In The Shadows exec producer Stefani Robinson.
It marks the latest attempt for the Channel 4 cult classic.
The Disney-owned network had a script in development in 2019 from Portlandia and Superstore writer and co-exec producer Karey Dornetto. Starz attempted a remake in 2016, while Fox took a run at a pilot, starring The Big Bang Theory’s Johnny Galecki, in 2005 and Spike gave it a shot in 2008.

The upcoming "Dune" prequel series from Legendary Television for HBO Max just added a ridiculously impressive name to their cast, with "Game of Thrones," "Obi-Wan Kenobi," and "Luther" actor Indira Varma joining "Dune: The Sisterhood." Varma has been cast to play Empress Natalya, a character described by the network as "a formidable royal who united thousands of worlds in her marriage to Emperor Corrino." The prequel is part of a number of "Dune"-related projects following the success of Denis Villeneuve's film adaptation, with a sequel (and maybe even a third film) arriving in addition to the series. Varma joins the previously announced cast of Emily Watson and Shirley Henderson as Valya and Tula Harkonnen, sisters who eventually become part of the Sisterhood of Rossak underground organization.

After what felt like ages since we last heard about this series, we finally have our two leads for "Dune: The Sisterhood." The prequel series to Denis Villeneuve's adaptation of "Dune" will star Emily Watson and Shirley Henderson, with them portraying Valya and Tula Harkonnen respectively.
If those names sound familiar to you, then you likely know your "Dune" lore. However, for newbies who were introduced to Frank Herbert's world through last year's film, here's a brief rundown. Valya and Tula are sisters who end up becoming a part of an underground organization called the Sisterhood of Rossak. First introduced in the 2012 novel "Sisterhood of Dune" by Herbert's son Brian Herbert, this organization would eventually evolve into the Bene Gesserit, which featured prominently in the original "Dune" novels as well as Villeneuve's adaptation.

Contestant Matt King made Jeopardy! history, but probably not in the way he intended. On Tuesday, Nov. 23, King received one of the worst Jeopardy! scores ever. The lawyer from Lewisville, Texas started off strong in the football category earning $2,400, but the night quickly took a turn, with the contestant ending the game with a whopping -$6,400. Ken Jennings, the current host of the show and Jeopardy! Greatest of All-Time champion, let King down easy, saying, "Matt, I'm afraid you took your swings. That's a strategy. It didn't always pay off." He continued, "You were close so many times, but we're gonna have to say goodbye to you here. You'll...
