- Dora Komar was born on April 18, 1914 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary [now Austria]. She was an actress, known for Immer nur Du (1941), Karneval der Liebe (1943) and Young Girls of Vienna (1949). She was married to Hans Somborn. She died on November 21, 2006 in Lisbon, Portugal.

- Dancer at the Vienna State Opera, then, after taking singing lessons, from 1934-1945 in light soprano roles.
- Lived with her family in Rio de Janeiro since 1946, returned to Vienna in mid-70s.
- With her move to Rio de Janeiro together with her husband, the producer Hans Leopold Somborn, ended her career in the spotlight. Only in 1949 came a last movie with her to the cinema which was already shot in 1945 called "Wiener Mädeln" (1949).
- In the middle of the 70's she returned to Europe and lived in Vienna and Lisbon alternately where she died.
- At the age of 20 she was engaged at the Staatsoper where she appeared as a soubrette till the end of World War II.
