He was also one of the voices of Darth Vader, being the third Hungarian actor to voice the character after
Attila Nagy (in the original theatrical run of
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) in 1982) and
Tibor Kristóf (in the TV dub of
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) in 1984). He first voiced Vader in the 1992 TV dub of
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977).
He was succeeded by
Frigyes Hollósi (in the '90s VHS version of the Original Trilogy and in the 1997 Special Edition
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) dub), but returned to the role for the remainder of the Special Edition dubs and
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005). After his death in 2005, Hollósi became the "official" voice for the character, until he also passed away in 2012.
