- When Antone de Saint-Exupéry was about to leave Vichy to go to America during WW2 he had to go to Paris to collect some papers. He accepted a ride (his last visit to Paris) from Drieu La Rochelle not know he was one of the most notorious literary collaborators. Drieu La Rochelle was so compromised by his association with the fascists that he committed suicide rather than submit to the rough justice being handed out to collaborators at the end of the war.
