Steven Moffat has offered up a meaty clue as to how Sherlock Holmes survived his fall at the end of series 2...
Speaking to Frank Skinner and Fred MacAulay at an Ad-Lib Comedy event as part of the Edinburgh Fringe yesterday, Steven Moffat went further than he has before when asked how Sherlock Holmes survived his hospital-top fall at the end of series two:
"He cunningly avoided the pavement - that really is the only way to avoid dying. There's only a limited number of ways he can do this. He's got to interrupt his fall before he hits the pavement."
On previous occasions, Moffat has suggested that a clue hidden in plain sight was the key to Sherlock surviving the fall, and that no trickery will be pulled on the audience; all of the answers are right there in the episode, he assures us.

BBC Radio Scotland have sent the first Red Noses into space.
The team from comedian Fred MacAulay's 'MacAulay and Co' show teamed up with physics experts from Strathclyde University as well as pupils from Rimbleton Primary School in Glenrothes to carry out the fundraising stunt.
After four weeks of planning, a pair of Red Noses - nicknamed Red Armstrong and Mac - were launched using helium balloons on Monday (March 11).
The aim was then to track the "astronoses" using Gps in order to see which one could make the trip 100,000ft in the air and back down to earth again the fastest.
Red Armstrong fell to the ground later the same day without ever making it into orbit, but Mac was found in nearby Galloway Forrest Park on Thursday, with footage from an attached camera confirming the nose had made it to space.

It's the last of my Shark Week columns here and I know that most of you are going to be absolutely overjoyed about that. I mean, I'm still posting potential Shark Week theme songs over on my Twitter (Note: you don't have to join Twitter to see those, they're just there) and probably will be until Saturday night or I lose all my followers. Whichever comes first. Disappointingly, there are no first run Shark Week events on tonight, which kind of blows because it means I don't get to list any of them. And I know that all the Shark Week stuff has probably been a little over done but seriously, what the hell else is going in in the first week of August? We're hitting the worst part of the summer weather wise, there's still about six weeks if not more till most of the good TV comes back...

There's a lot of days I like writing Pajiba After Dark, but lately it's been getting a little rough. Seems every other column there's some jackass reminding me that I'm not providing any information that can't be found in a TV Guide (which, by the way when are you writing those comments from, 1990? Who the fuck uses a TV Guide anymore? Isn't there a button on your remote which says "Guide" or are you still changing the channels with knobs while a radiation burn forms on your carpet?) which, duh. I mean, what information do we have on this site that can't be found somewhere else? And then last night I got one of those nutfucks while all of you were over partying on Robert's new column because why? Because he's Canadian? Like that makes him special, seems like every third one of you out there sweats Labatts while riding...
