Bill Cosby continues to work amid allegations that he drugged and sexually assaulted women, receiving mixed reaction from audience members present at his shows.
A heckler and his friend were detained by authorities after shouting out "You are a rapist," in the middle of Cosby's set at Budweiser Gardens on Thursday in the Canadian city of London, Ontario.
News: A Timeline of Cosby's Accusers
"No one said anything," heckler Matt Smith told reporters outside the venue. "We were really surprised, because we're in Canada. We're a good country and we were expecting more from the people in there tonight. That's why we said something."
Dale Carruthers and Pat Maloney of The London Free Press were covering the event.
"I pulled out my phone and started filming them detain the two men," Dale said. "That's when arena officials told me to leave and security and police came over and escorted me out the front door."

Bill Cosby's Thursday show in Ontario, Canada included a joke about not drinking around him and a heckler who called the headline-making comedian "a rapist."
When a woman got up during the performance, Cosby asked where she was going and the woman said to get a soda from the lobby. At that point, Cosby cracked a joke related to the allegations surrounding the comedian.
"You have to be careful about drinking around me," Cosby told the woman, which, according to Patrick Maloney of the London Free Press (who was at the show), caused many in the audience to ...

Star Wars as Guardians of the Galaxy, Patsy Byrne passes, Lee Daniels dedicates Stonewall Award to boyfriend
Lee Daniels was presented with the Stonewall Community Foundation’s Vision Award last week, and his speech is really something to behold. In the last part, he dedicated the award to his boyfriend Fisher. “We live in midtown, and this award is for him, because I’m here to protect him. He gets harassed every day. He gets the faggot word at him going to work every day. I wish a motherfucker would call me faggot. I have not been that unlucky. I’d probably end up in jail or the New York Post or something like that, but this is dedicated to him, because he tolerates my insanity when I go down deep and I’m creating and I’m not there. Nicollette Sheridan is expected back in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday to argue that her legal case against ABC/Disney for dropping her from Desperate Housewives should be retried after a jury failed to reach a verdict last month. Sheridan also is expected to ask the judge for $35,000 in sanctions against the defense lawyers for their conduct in the case. Sheridan's three-week trial on her wrongful-termination claim ended in a hung jury March 16. Sheridan’s lawyers, Mark Baute and Patrick Maloney, say they want to retry the case and have cited several instances where they say

Los Angeles -- Nicollette Sheridan told jurors on Thursday that she was shocked and humiliated after being struck in the head by the creator of "Desperate Housewives" on the set of the hit ABC show.
The actress was the first witness called during her trial alleging that she was fired after a dispute with creator and executive producer Marc Cherry. She is seeking more than $6 million in damages.
At the request of her attorney, Patrick Maloney, the actress demonstrated the blow by striking her lawyer in court. Sheridan contended it was a hard blow, although attorneys for Cherry and ABC claimed it was a light tap meant to give the actress some direction for a scene.
Sheridan told jurors that Cherry appeared stunned after the hit and later apologized to her.

Former Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan took the stand in Los Angeles Thursday as the first witness in a trial to decide if she was wrongfully terminated from her role as Edie Britt on the ABC primetime soap opera.
Wearing a dark blue suit jacket and with her hair pulled back in a ponytail, Sheridan described the day she claims she was slapped by Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry.
The set-up, provided by Sheridan, was that a ”funny” line Edie said during rehearsals had been cut from the script. So the actress approached Cherry about why it was gone. “What is it that you want?...

‘Desperate Housewives’ Trial Puts Behind-The-Scenes Drama In Spotlight Freelance writer Dominic Patten is a Deadline contributor Updated, Writethru: An emotional Nicollette Sheridan, with a stern-faced Marc Cherry sitting in front of her, today detailed in court the events of an alleged on-set incident in September 2008 that escalated into a purportedly violent confrontation between her and Housewives creator/executive producer Cherry. Her testimony came on a day that Deadline learned that attorneys might be paring the witness list in order for wrongful termination and battery trial to finish by Judge Elizabeth Allen White’s March 12 target. Sheridan’s lawyer Mark Baute told media late in the day that he thought the defense had no intention of calling the other Housewives stars — Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman — currently on the list. Sheridan, aided by her co-counsel Patrick Maloney, twice re-enacted for the jury how she says Cherry struck her the...

The 47-year-old actress – who is suing for wrongful termination and gender discrimination – has been urged by Judge Elizabeth Allen White to settle the case before it goes to trial in October.
The judge warned: "You're going to spend a lot of money on this case."
During a hearing at Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday (29.08.11), Nicollette's lawyer Patrick Maloney called for jurors to be allowed to consider whether the star was entitled to wages for at least two extra seasons.
However, the judge ruled she could only seek damages for one year's pay, approximately $980,000 after declaring the show's producers had discretion to write out Nicollette's character Edie Britt when they saw fit to do so.
In yesterday's hearing, the judge – who has already thrown out her harassment claims against show creator and executive producer Marc Cherry – ruled the actress cannot make reference to the programme chief's alleged rude behaviour towards others during the trial.

A Los Angeles judge has urged Nicollette Sheridan to settle her lawsuit for wrongful termination from Desperate Housewives after ruling the actress will only be entitled to limited damages if she wins a court battle.
The star filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against show creator Marc Cherry last year, alleging he slapped her in the face after she expressed an opinion about a script he had written, and then fired her when she complained to producers.
Sheridan, who played sexy real estate dealer Edie Britt in the series, later amended the suit but still sought damages for wrongful termination and gender discrimination.
During a hearing at Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, her attorney Patrick Maloney called for jurors to be allowed to consider whether Sheridan was entitled to wages for at least two extra seasons, but Judge Elizabeth Allen White ruled that the star could only seek damages for one year's pay, which would total approximately $980,000 (£612,500), according to the Associated Press.
Judge White declared the show's producers had discretion to eliminate Sheridan's character and called for the star's legal team to settle the case ahead of a trial, scheduled to begin in October.
