Ben Edlund. This led to McCulloch working as a storyboard artist on Edlund's animated series
The Tick (1994). He later story boarded
PB&J Otter (1998) and
Sheep in the Big City (2000). After unsuccessfully pitching his own series
The Venture Bros. (2003) to Comedy Central twice, he finally convinced Adult Swim to pick it. He is also a voice actor, known for voicing a number of the Venture Bros. characters, including Hank Venture and the Monarch, several background characters on
Superjail! (2007) and the five-headed dragon Hiram McDaniels on the podcast "Welcome to Night Vale."
