Hawaiian-born steel guitarist and leader of 'His Aloha Islanders', who performed for years at the Hawaiian Grill of the Hotel Lexington in New York. He was chiefly responsible for popularising the steel guitar in America and for introducing the Hawaiian guitar sound.
