COLOGNE, Germany -- German cable giant Kabel Deutschland unveiled Monday its new digital programming service Kabel Digital Home, which will offer 30 niche channels and 47 radio stations to subscribers across the country. The service, which KDG will offer starting at €9 ($10.80) per month to its 10 million German cable customers, will include branded channels 13th Street and Sci Fi Channel from Universal Studios, Sony Pictures Entertainment's AXN and the Walt Disney Co.'s Playhouse Disney and Toon Disney, which launch in the territory Nov. 10. Viacom is also well represented, with digital music channels MTV Hits, MTV Dance and VH1 Classic on the service. Other film channels on Kabel Digital Home include Kinowelt TV Premium from Leipzig-based rights group Kinowelt and Silverline from Axel Muench and Andreas Brandl's Silverline Television AG.
