- Plays bass guitar. Was the bassist for the 1970s rock band, Roadmaster (previously known as Pure Funk). And played bass for John Mellencamp's band from 1982-1999.
- First gig with John Mellencamp was just 3 weeks after meeting, Daniel J. Travanti/John Cougar (1982).
- Grew up in Indianapolis, next door to Michael Read, one of the founding members of Pure Funk (later known as Roadmaster).
- His last day with John Mellencamp was a New Year's Eve concert, December 31, 1999. He was replaced by another former member of Roadmaster, John Gunnell.
