Genre filmmaker/actor Alan Rowe Kelly got in touch with the news that River Of Darkness, a horror feature he co-stars in, has wrapped production, and sent along a few exclusive pics from the movie (check ’em out below). The cast is headed by pro wrestlers Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash, Psycho Sid Vicious and Ray Lloyd (a.k.a. Glacier).
Angle stars as Will Logan (seen in the first two photos with Kelly as crazy Mary Rutledge), the sheriff of a small river town who does battle with the Jacobs brothers (played by Nash, Vicious and The Mothman Prophecies’ Bill Laing), a trio of long-executed squatters who have returned from the grave to avenge themselves against the village. Bruce Koehler, whose serial-killer flick End Game (also starring Angle) hits DVD from First Look December 1, scripted and directed, and Bill Hinzman from the original Night Of The Living Dead (third photo...

When Christopher Preksta set out to make a movie in 2003, I don't think he ever would have imagined recutting it as a web series nearly three years after it's initial release. Originally shot in and around Pittsburgh, Pa for a modest budget of $7,000, Captain Blasto (the series) launched last June, a scant month-and-a-half before the sitebusting debut of Joss Whedon's Dr. Horrible. Outside of the eerily familiar costuming (why do villain's always have to wear lab coats?), and the fact that both shows fall smack dab into the middle of the popular super-hero genre, Captain Blasto and Dr. Horrible have very little in common, and unlike the doctor, Blasto never quite found its audience online (it pulled in a total of twelve-thousand cumulative views on YouTube), despite coverage in io9 and a whole slew of other outlets. The series, whose finale went live on Nov. 10, follows the exploits of...

Well folks, the 2008 ZombieFest (official site) has just announced their first round of guests, and it's a good announcement. The first round includes original Dawn of the Dead zombies Sharon Ceccatti Hill (the Nurse Zombie) and Clayton Hill (the Sweater Zombie). Also onhand will be Sam Nicotero, whose films include Children of the Living Dead and The Mothman Prophecies. Also announced is Bram Stoker Award-winning author Mike Arnzen. But that's not all. The big news is that the original Bmf, the greatest zombie killer in the world, will also be in attendance at the mall where he first encountered the living dead. That's right, I'm talking about Ken-Motherfucking-Foree.
Zombiefest is a free event this year, running from October 24th to October 26th inside the zombie-historic Monroeville Mall, and will coincide with "World Zombie Day," for which more than fifty cities worldwide have coordinated a zombie walk Sunday morning in an...
