In the past three decades, the Fallout series has successfully cemented its place as one of the most popular post-apocalyptic role-playing video games of all time. Thanks to its massive success, a TV show based on the series was also released on Amazon Prime recently. Since its first game, Fallout (1997), the series has drastically changed but the franchise hasn’t lost its core element, making it very popular among the fans.
So far, fans have got nine Fallout games across many different consoles, and one may assume that their first game would be the shortest in terms of runtime. However, that’s not the case. As for the longest Fallout game, it is only 1/4th of the time it takes to obtain 100% completion of FromSoftware’s Elden Ring. Here, we have ranked every Fallout game depending on the time it takes to complete it:

Fallout was a successful live-action adaptation of a popular video game with the combined efforts of Bethesda Game Studios and Amazon Prime Video. It shattered records and even made short work of popular series like The Boys and Invincible but couldn’t top The Lord of the Rings.
The show was able to pull an impressive 65 million viewers in the first 16 days since the day Prime Video released all of the episodes. Compared to an equally well-budgeted show based on the popular work of author J.R.R Tolkien, it was considerably better and more well-received.
The Fallout Series Is Way Better Than the Lord of the Rings Spinoff The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power had a strong start but failed to capture the fans, unlike Fallout.
Despite having a strong start, the video game adaptation was the second most-watched title on the platform and fell behind The Rings of Power.

It’s been a phase to forget for superhero movies across the board. DC Extended Universe could not sustain itself, drawing the franchise to an early end. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is going through a lean patch that they don’t have any idea how to deal with.
Some call it superhero fatigue, some lousy writing. The real answer might be a cocktail of both extremes. But in this dry run for superhero flicks, the aficionados of the genre have something to be elated about – the Dark Knight universe might be set to make a comeback.

The Dark Knight trilogy, directed by Oscar-winner Christopher Nolan, is considered one of the best superhero franchises out there. Starring Christian Bale in the lead as Bruce Wayne/Batman, the movies went on to become hugely successful and even got a posthumous Oscar win for actor Heath Ledger, who played Joker in the second movie.
Tom Hardy’s Bane and Christian Bale’s Batman in The Dark Knight Rises
But nothing is ever perfect, and the trilogy is no exception. At the end of the third movie, which saw the showdown between Batman and his nemesis, Bane, played by Tom Hardy, there were some discrepancies. Marion Cotillard played the role of Talia al-Ghul, the daughter of Ras al-Ghul, who comes to Gotham for revenge as Batman killed her father. And her death scene in the movie is something fans have never been to find of.

"Fallout" is the smash success Amazon Studios has been waiting for. The show, based on the popular video game series of the same name, has become one of the biggest hits to date on Prime Video. Amazon has revealed that the series is now the second-most-watched show in the history of the streaming service, trailing only the mega-budgeted "Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power."
According to Variety, "Fallout" was streamed by 65 million viewers during its first 16 days of release. Amazon made the choice to release the entire first season all at once on April 10. That's closer to the traditional Netflix binge model, rather than the week-to-week episode model that Prime Video has employed in recent years. That may have attracted more viewership in the early going, and that makes the show one of Prime Video's biggest hits ever out of the gate. As such, it's not surprising that...

As far as comic book adaptations go, most objective commentators and critics will agree that there is nothing better, overall than Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy, which adapted the character of Batman and his world. Starring Christian Bale in the main role, the trilogy is lauded by critics and fans as well for having elevated the comic book movie to a completely new level, combining the fantasy of these worlds with the realism of our own world in the best way possible. Jonathan Nolan, Christopher’s brother, also contributed to the series as a screenwriter and in a recent interview, he confirmed that he would love to go back to that world at one point.
Jonathan Nolan is Christopher’s frequent collaborator and is credited as the co-writer of The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, alongside Christopher. Both brothers have since moved on from comic book adaptations,...

Fallout has become one of Prime Video’s biggest series ever — according to Prime Video.
The well-reviewed show, based on the video game franchise of the same name, has become the second-most-watched title ever on the Amazon streaming service over its first 16 days of release, the company says. Prime Video says 65 million viewers worldwide have watched at least some of Fallout since its April 10 premiere, putting the show behind only The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power in the streamer’s catalog.
Global audiences have powered a majority of that viewing: More than 60 percent of Fallout’s audience is outside the United States. The (limited) data from Amazon jibes with that from outside sources like Samba TV, Luminate and Reelgood, all of which have tracked a strong start for the series (Nielsen’s streaming data lags by several weeks).

Video-game adaptations are going next level. Amazon says “Fallout” is off to the second-best start for any series on Prime Video ever.
More than 65 million people watched “Fallout” in its first 16 days on the streaming service, per a Prime Video rep. Amazon says that’s second only to the 16-day debut window for “Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” back in 2022. Amazon also says “Fallout” is the number 1 title globally on Prime Video in that span, it’s hit number 1 in 170 countries, and more than 60 percent of its audience has come internationally. People in the UK, France, and Brazil especially love it.
The streamer claimed back in 2022 that the debut episode of “Rings of Power” was watched by 25 million people in just 24 hours and by 100 million people overall, but never reported specific figures for a 16-day window. But how many kept watching? A report said only 37 percent of...

“Fallout” is proving to be far from a (nuclear) bomb for Amazon’s Prime Video.
According to the streamer, the series pulled in 65 million viewers in its first 16 days of availability, with the first season dropping in its entirety on April 10. That makes it the second most-watched title ever on the platform and the most-watched title since the debut on “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” back in 2022.
Amazon also says the show is its most-watched ever among adults 18-34, with 60% of the show’s audience coming from outside the United States. In particular, the UK, France, and Brazil have all proven to be hubs for the show’s popularity. It should be noted, however, that Amazon has not released any data on how viewers are counted, especially when it comes to completion of the show. While Christopher Nolan is seen as the forerunner of original ideas in Hollywood with films such as Tenet and Inception, the filmmaker once redefined the superhero genre with his The Dark Knight trilogy. The films saw Christian Bale as Batman and depicted a realistic version of Gotham and the Caped Crusader, and dealt with philosophical and real-world issues such as the nature of violence and the right to privacy.
While The Dark Knight trilogy is often placed among the greatest superhero films ever made, Nolan reportedly also had a hand in making one of the most underrated animated Batman movies. According to Bruce Timm, Nolan was deeply involved in the making of Batman: Gotham Knight, which was set between the events of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

Prime Video’s Fallout TV show has been getting nothing but praise from fans and critics alike ever since its recent release, and rightfully so. The only group of people discontent with something in the series is the hardcore Fallout: New Vegas fans who didn’t particularly enjoy seeing their favorite titular city in ruins in the very finale.
But trust us, if New Vegas was still standing, Fallout Season 2 would have begun its story with a much, much bigger butthurt from the very same Og fans.

Prime Video’s latest and hottest TV show Fallout is famously set in the popular video game universe of the same name. Thanks to staying faithful to the source material and carefully adding countless references to the games, the new series earned the love of Og and new fans alike. Much of it can be attributed to the long and passionate planning that Jonathan Nolan and Todd Howard’s team did together.
Fallout the TV Show Isn’t an Adaptation
Unlike most live-action movies and TV shows set in animated or video game worlds, Prime Video’s Fallout is no adaptation: it’s a completely standalone story with original characters which exists in the same universe as the Fallout games. During the process of its creation, the series was treated as such, and it led to a great result.

Although much can be said for the creative talents of Jonathan Nolan and Todd Howard who worked their magic behind the camera, they cannot take all the credit. Perks are one of the many elements of what makes up Bethesda’s popular video game title, Fallout 4. Despite being released nearly a decade ago, this game is still where a lot of gamers tend to head to as it was the last title that acted as a sequel to the storyline. Its long-lasting legacy with a tightly knit together community has also caused many theories of the game to surface over the years.
Fallout 4 came out back in 2015
One particular speculation that has been stuck around ever since the beginning is how there is possibly a whole underwater civilization present that players are supposed to know nothing about. While many claim this is just a wild hunch that gets tossed around every once in a while, some claim there are hints in-game hinting at the existence of such a city.

The Godfather without Al Pacino does not feel right at all, and it’s truly impossible to imagine another actor playing Michael Corleone. Fans have got Diane Keaton to thank because her chemistry with the actor landed him the job.

But that’s not to discredit Pacino; the actor is a winner of Academy, Emmy, Golden Globes, and Tony awards. He could have gotten the part without breaking a sweat, but for some reason, the studio did not like him.

Starfield had the potential to elevate the video game industry after the promise of interstellar travel and space exploration for the next generation of gaming from Bethesda Game Studios. Unfortunately, the new ambitious IP fell flat and had fans wishing for something else, like Fallout 5.
It is a risky move to release a new Aaa game with the current climate of the game industry, and director Todd Howard seems to have gambled on the studio’s latest release.
Fans Are Now Wishing They Had Fallout 5 Starfield launched a year ago on the Xbox Series X/S and PC.

It’s undeniable. Fallout is an absolute hit, and the age of terrible TV adaptations and low expectations is behind us (Halo notwithstanding). After years of sub-standard, terrible adaptations like Resident Evil, Max Payne, and countless others, we gamers thought we were in for the long haul while waiting for good quality TV and movies. Well, that wait is certainly over.
First, we got The Last of Us, then the critically panned but as-equally fun The Super Mario Bros. Movie which was an incredible Mario experience, if a terrible film, and now we have the excellent Prime Video Fallout. And this wealth of good gaming content on the big screen means a few knock-on effects in the actual gaming space.

Video game adaptations have been a popular genre in Hollywood for years, offering captivating stories with built-in fan bases. While they can be well-received, achieving success with these adaptations can be challenging. Despite this, recent hits like Pedro Pascal’s The Last of Us and Jonathan Nolan’s Fallout, starring Ella Purnell and Walton Goggins, have garnered praise. However, these are just the recent examples of the acclaimed adaptations in the genre.

When Christopher Nolan Revealed That Tom Hardy Based His Menacing ‘Bane’ On The Dark Knight Rises Maker ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
People wait eagerly for any and every Christopher Nolan movie, and his Batman movies starring Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne are still considered one of the best comic book films ever. It gave us the classic villain in Heath Ledger’s Joker, and Tom Hardy as Bane was also quite memorable. Hardy did an exceptional job as the anti-hero in The Dark Knight Rises. But did you know it was the film’s director on whom Hardy based his menacing character?
It was the last movie in Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy and came out around four years after the release of 2008’s The Dark Knight. The movie had an ensemble cast of Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Morgan Freeman, besides Bale and Hardy.

Considering that the first game in the series was released in 1997, Fallout has always had a layered lore since its inception. From vibrant characters to the details that make the dystopian world come to life, there are many aspects to go through to understand what the universe has to offer. Which have been developed over years, so expecting the Prime Video show’s creator, Jonah Nolan, to fit everything into one season wouldn’t have been fair.

The Last of Us is probably the most popular PlayStation franchise next to God of War, but the sequel has had its fair share of criticism. Naughty Dog is one of the bravest developers in the gaming industry today, but the team’s creative decisions are causing massive backlash.

Prime Video’s Fallout TV show took the best pages out of other successful shows’ books: filming on location is always better than using those pesky green screens. The Wasteland in the new post-apocalyptic series is stunning, and to some fans, it looked vaguely familiar — but that’s only because it should be. After all, Fallout wasn’t this filming location’s first rodeo.
Fallout Found Its Perfect Wasteland
Even if Jonathan Nolan wanted to create the most authentic Fallout experience, he would not have been allowed to explode a real nuclear bomb to recreate the Wasteland, just like his practical effects-obsessed brother Christopher wasn’t allowed to for Oppenheimer, so the Fallout creator opted for the second best thing.
To film the Wasteland, the crew and cast headed deep into Namibia’s Namib Desert, far away from any civilization. Remember that ghost town from the show? It looked so...

Jonathan Nolan’s Fallout adaptation is a success for many reasons, the least of all being its unique sense of identity separate from the games despite being true to the source material in every respect. It is this individuality of the Amazon original series that allows some room for creative liberty while Nolan and his writers’ room build a megalomaniacal post-apocalyptic world spread over the vast wasteland of America.

The Season 1 finale of Prime Video’s “Fallout” left audiences with many unanswered questions around the scientist-turned-New California Republic leader Lee Moldaver, such as how she survived the nuclear apocalypse and her relationship to Lucy’s mother, Rose MacLean.

Prime Video’s Fallout is proof that if the creator is familiar with the source material, then worlds from games can be wonderfully translated into other mediums. As difficult as that may seem to grasp for many directors, Jonah Nolan rose up to the task and created something that not only stays faithful to the games and their fanbase but also welcomes newcomers into the iconic dystopia.
To pull that off, Nolan took a different approach than the one other shared universes are taking nowadays, and it’s turning out to be effective.

Both fans of the games and media critics agree the Fallout TV show is a great series that remains faithful to the source material. Jonah Nolan’s take on the world created by Bethesda has panned out beautifully, and some of their creative decisions went beyond what the game studio ever did. It was these moments that both excited and worried Nolan.
Sticking to what was known and going along with the linear story is one thing, but jumping back and forth while creating a cohesive storyline is more confusing to the director than the viewer. Thankfully, the endeavor was a success, and the fans got to enjoy Nolan’s efforts on screen.

One of the biggest issues with Fallout that fans will take umbrage with is its short run time. The first season of Jonathan Nolan’s post-apocalyptic saga is only eight episodes long. At roughly an hour each, that’s just a single 9 to 5-hour shift! Definitely not enough time in the wasteland.

Resident Evil films, as we know them, could’ve been different only if the late George A. Romero had entered the arena. He was an American-Canadian director known for the Night of the Living Dead series, which was also a major contributor to shaping the presentation of zombies as we see them today. Little did many know that he was this close to directing the first Re movie.

The apocalypse was just the beginning. A week ago, Prime Video unleashed its streaming series adaptation of the ultra-popular Fallout video games – bringing a post-nuclear wasteland filled with vault-dwellers, metal-clad soldiers and irradiated ghouls to fans old and new. And not only has Season 1 been a critical hit, receiving considerable acclaim in reviews and notices as one of the best game-to-screen adaptations, but it’s clearly been a ratings winner for the streamer too. So much so that, within seven days of its entire-season drop, Amazon has committed to more mutant mayhem: Fallout will officially be back for Season 2.
While exact viewership numbers haven’t been revealed, Amazon has confirmed that Fallout is in Prime Video’s top three most-watched series ever, and has been the service’s biggest global hit since The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power. “Holy shit,” said showrunners Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner in a statement.
