Sherri Shepherd welcomed “Inside Edition” host Deborah Norville to Wednesday’s edition of her daytime talk show.
During their conversation, Norville discussed the time she spent a week in jail as an experiment for “Inside Edition”.
“It was so eye-opening,” said Norville of her week behind bars. “There were two moments that were pleasurable for me. I was locked up on Valentine’s Day. They gave me a piece of chocolate cake with white frosting on it. And by day four … I took a shower. And that was nice. Every other moment was uncomfortable, frightening, bewildering, not pleasant.”

Cj Enm and Scott Sternberg Productions have agreed a deal under which popular Korean lifestyle show “Get it Beauty” will be adapted for the U.S. market.
The move dials into a growing wave of international success for Korean unscripted TV shows, following on from earlier success for Korean scripted dramas such as “Squid Game” and “Crash Landing on You.” It also amplifies the growing reach of Korean beauty standards and the cosmetic brands that support them.
“Get it Beauty” has run for 18 seasons in Korea since launching in 2006. It is hosted by three beauty icons, who invite beauty specialists such as physical trainers, hairdressers, and make-up artists into the studio to demonstrate their expertise to a live studio audience who actively participate in the tutorials. It has made stars of some of the specialists and catapulted some products to commercial success – it awards a mark of commendation to products coming top in its tests.

Speaking to Yahoo!, Lunden, who now works as a special correspondent for NBC’s Today show, said of her ABC departure, “I didn’t talk about it for a long, long time. I believe in going out with class… as opposed to getting angry, like, what’s the point?” However, she said that she let the network know her feelings before she left. “I picked up the phone and I called the president of the network,” she recalled. “And I said, ‘I’m about to do you a very big favor. Scott Sternberg Productions today announced the launch of a new documentary division and the acquisition of Strong Island Films.
The first project under Ssp’s new division, Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil: My Story, will premiere this Sunday on Reelz. Sternberg directed the documentary in which the lead singer of the legendary heavy metal band, in his own words, “details what led him to music, the formation and early days of Mötley Crüe, surviving his hardest party days and how he navigated the road to superstardom.” Neil and Sternberg are executive producers of the film.
The two-hour doc, featuring interviews with Neil’s son and daughter, as well as bandmates Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx, and others, takes an “incredibly candid” view of the musician’s “much publicized setbacks — from the heartbreak of losing a young child to being arrested for driving under the influence after causing a crash that killed his friend.

Katie Couric’s upcoming memoir has made waves for shocking excerpts that have ruffled feathers in TV news circles.
Now, in her first interview about the new book, Couric gives more detail on some of the headline-making pieces — most notably, her former “Today” show co-anchor, Matt Lauer — saying that her words have been “cherry-picked and twisted” by leaked excerpts.
Couric no longer speaks to Lauer, she reveals in a new cover story with People magazine, released on Wednesday. She says she was “shocked” by the allegations, calling Lauer’s behavior “callous” and “grossly inappropriate.”
That’s not the Matt I knew,” Couric tells the magazine. “There’s a duality in human beings, and sometimes they don’t let you see both sides.”
Couric’s book says that after learning about Lauer’s behavior, she came to realize that he was a professional partner and friend to her, but a predator to others.

Thanks to everyone who chose to Be the Light at HeartShare’s 2021 Virtual Gala, HeartShare is thrilled to announce that it reached its event fundraising goal of $1M.
The Gala, which took place on April 15th, is HeartShare’s largest annual fundraising event and the $1M raised will go a long way toward supporting an annual budget that depends, in part, on contributions and donations raised from special events.
The funds will help cover unexpected and unbudgeted costs incurred due to Covid-19 and reduced government funding. Ultimately, the funds will be applied to the programs and services HeartShare provides to help people with autism and other developmental disabilities live their best lives: group homes, pre-schools, schools for children and teens with autism, day habilitation programs, vocational training programs and our recreational, family support and long-term therapy services.
“The HeartShare family is incredibly loyal and supportive,” says HeartShare President and CEO William R. Guarinello.

As “Bombshell” premiered in New York on Monday night, director Jay Roach reflected on the film’s place in the #MeToo era, especially in the wake of Harvey Weinstein’s recent headline-making interview with the New York Post (made in the midst of his much-publicized trial for sexual assault), where the disgraced producer said, “I made more movies directed by women and about women than any other filmmaker.”
“One of the things I found working on this story is there is a pattern,” Roach told Variety on the red carpet at the special screening at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall. “With very powerful men who become addicted to power who then feel entitled to it and will do anything to maintain it, and will do anything to demand loyalty from individuals even if it involves bullying, sexual coercion — when you see someone that delusional compartmentalizing it and then somehow self-justifying it,...

Inside Edition anchor Deborah Norville is set to return to the show Monday, after surgery to remove most of her thyroid following a cancer scare.
Doctors removed the right lobe and center part of Norville’s thyroid during the April 2 surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Although the procedure was routine, it was not without risk.
“The area where the thyroid is located is also where the nerves that control your voice box are located,” Norville tells Inside Edition. “And let’s face it, I talk for a living, so it was very, very scary for me.”
Norville had her stitches removed on Friday. Her surgeon, Dr. William Kuhel, placed the stitches under her skin to minimize scarring. He says in a few months, the two-inch incision will be barely noticeable.

And for years, it was nothing. Until recently, it was something.”
“The doctor says it’s a very localized form of cancer, which tomorrow I’ll have surgery to have removed,” she revealed. “There’ll be no chemo, I’m told no radiation, but I will have surgery and I’ll be away for a bit. In an age where we have gone so far as to add the word “selfies” to the Oxford Dictionary, Harry Benson: Shoot First is a vital reminder of what it’s really like to take a picture. Yes, it’s time to get on that soapbox. Put down your iPhone for a second, because directors Justin Bare and Matthew Miele have crafted a film that explores photography at its pinnacle of creativity — all via the life and work of a quirky Scottish man named Harry Benson.

The fallout from rape allegations against Bill Cosby continues. According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC has canceled a family comedy starring the 77-year-old actor. Although the show didn’t yet have a final script, many speculate that Netflix “postponing” its Thanksgiving special with the former Cosby Show star may have helped push NBC to its decision.
Rules of Engagement’s Mike Sikowitz and Shameless‘ Mike O’Malley were reportedly wanted to help write and produce the show, in which Cosby was a father of three married daughters with families. His name has been flooding headlines for the last few weeks after decade-old allegations of his sexual assault resurfaced. At the end of October, Queen Latifah and her team canceled a Cosby interview on The Queen Latifah Show due to the reports. Last week, his social media effort “Meme Me” went south quickly when Twitter users used the campaign to highlight the accusations against him.

Last month, Hannibal Buress called Bill Cosby a rapist during his standup act in Philadelphia. Cosby has never been convicted of a sex crime but this isn’t the first time he has been accused of rape.
Burress, who is also a black comedian, was making the point that he doesn’t value Cosby’s outspoken opinions about African-American conduct because Cosby is (allegedly) a rapist.
“Bill Cosby has the f—ing smuggest old black man public persona that I hate, ” Burress stated at his October 16 show. “He gets on TV, ‘Pull your pants up black people, I was on TV in the ’80s. I can talk down to you because I had a successful sitcom.’ Yeah, but you rape women, Bill Cosby, so turn the crazy down a couple notches… If you didn’t know about it trust me. When you leave here, Google ‘Bill Cosby rape.’ It’s not funny.

Joan Rivers once wrote that she wanted a Hollywood-style funeral, with Meryl Streep crying in five different accents and a toe-tag designed by Harry Winston. She came close. The service, held at Temple Emanu-El on Fifth Avenue and 65th Street on Sept. 7, was indeed a red-carpeted, star-studded affair — Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Walters, Clive Davis, Diane Sawyer and a slew of other luminaries filed past the paparazzi and into the temple to bid Rivers goodbye.
