Keith Olsen was born on May 12, 1945 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, USA. He was a composer, known for Footloose (1984), Flashdance (1983) and Megaforce (1982). He was married to Wendy Bergdoll . He died on March 9, 2020 in Genoa, Nevada, USA.
Starting in the early 1970s he founded PogoLogo Productions where he produced the first and only album by Buckingham Nicks for Polydor Records. He played the album for Mick Fleetwood while pitching his company for business. Mick was so impressed he brought Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks into Fleetwood Mac.
Produced the soundtracks of "Footloose", "Vision Quest", "Tron", "Flashdance" and "Top Gun.".
Ended his career as a respected member of the Recording Academy's Producers & Engineers Wing.
In the mid 1990's he worked with the Kore Group record label developing surround sound mixes.
