A couple months ago, we heard that Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the release of the slasher sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer by giving the film a 4K release, just like they did for its predecessor I Know What You Did Last Summer last year. Now we’ve learned that the unpopular trilogy capper I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer (watch it Here) will also be getting a new release on the same day I Still Know reaches 4K (September 26th) – but this will be a Blu-ray release instead of 4K.
Directed by Sylvain White (who replaced Damon Santostefano two weeks before filming began) from a screenplay written by Michael D. Weiss, I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer is about a group of small town teens who accidentally kill a fellow friend in a 4th of July prank.

When we talk about the I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise, we often only talk about the original 1990s slasher and its sequel, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. Both films have been upgraded to 4K Ultra HD, but they’re not the only two films in the saga.
Direct-to-video installment I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer was released in 2006, and Sony is giving the sequel its Blu-ray debut on September 26, 2023.
Special Features include…
Audio commentary by director Sylvain White The Making of I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer Trailer
In the 2006 sequel, “A group of small town teens kill a fellow friend in a 4th of July prank. They all band together and decide to take their secret to the grave. Little do they know that they really will be taking their secret quite literally to the grave as...

Back in 2011 Seann William Scott starred in the Canadian-American sports comedy “Goon,” directed by Michael Dowse and written by Jay Baruchel and Evan Goldberg. The film, which was the surprise of the summer, followed a dimwitted man who becomes the enforcer for a minor league ice hockey team. Now six years later, Scott and almost all of the original cast is back in the sequel “Goon: Last of the Enforcers.”
Making his directorial feature debut, Baruchel serves as director and returns as co-writer, this time with Jesse Chabot. The comedy once again follows Doug Glatt (Scott) who, after being forced to give up his aspirations of going to the big show, rejoins the Halifax Highlanders to reclaim his former glory. Check out the first trailer below.

It's extreme crisis mode on the set of Canada's beloved police drama, "Flashpoint." On location at the Toronto International Marina, a frazzled man named Harold ("CSI: NY"'s A.J. Buckley) is standing on a ferry, screaming frantically. Turns out this shotgun-wielding guy has separated from his wife, is schizophrenic and off his meds. Worst of all, Harold has abducted a baby girl he mistakenly believes is his. In other words, Harold is a walking time bomb waiting to explode.
Also on the scene are Constables Ed Lane (Hugh Dillon), Sam Braddock (David Paetkau) and Julianna "Jules" Callaghan (Amy Jo Johnson) from the Strategic Response Unit (Sru), who are doing their best to diffuse the situation. Obviously, things aren't going well. Harold's confusion is turning to anger and rage as he yells, "Liar! Liar! I would never hurt her!" Before somebody actually does get hurt, Jules slowly inches toward the oblivious...

This is a reprint of our review from January, from the film's release in the U.K.
Ice hockey might be huge in certain parts of the world -- Canada, principally -- but the U.K. is not one of them. It exists, but it's never exactly been a phenomenon, short of a few curious people tuning in around the Winter Olympics, and movies focusing on the sport, even one as great as George Roy Hill's minor classic "Slap Shot," have traditionally been given short shrift over here (although we do have fond memories of seeing the first "Mighty Ducks" in theaters).
As such, it feels odd that "Goon," a brutal comedy based around the sport, from the pen of hockey-loving Apatow grads Jay Baruchel (star of "Undeclared" and "Knocked Up") and Evan Goldberg (co-writer, with Seth Rogen, of "Superbad" and "Pineapple Express"), would go on wide release in Britain this weekend,...

A woman covered in blood runs with her baby and hides under the bed, but she's found and killed. Dean (Jensen Ackles) brings Lisa (Cindy Sampson) and Ben (Nicholas Elia) back to a new house. Lansing, Michigan. Sam (Jared Padalecki) dressed in suit and tie tells Samuel (Mitch Pileggi) the alarm never went off and the baby is missing. Dean wants them to stay in and orders pizza. Sam didn't find any Emf, or sulphur. Samuel has trouble using the computer, so why didn't he just call Bobby, even though we are meant to see them getting to work with their family more? "Sometimes I wonder about us." Sam: "Sometimes I wonder about me too." The alarm never went off and there are same systems in other houses. Sam doesn't seem interested in the missing babies, whereas in the past that would have been his first concern. He's more interested in the hunt.

Dean (Jensen Ackles) wakes next to Lisa (Cindy Sampson) as we get a series of scenarios involving Dean as his life used to be and what he does now, so much of it is pretty much the same, aside from the hunting element - such as salting food, whereas before he would salt whilst hunting, tools in his car and tools used for his job, contrasting his job as hunter and now as a family man, sharing beers with Sam (Jared Padalecki) in the past and now with a neighbour, working on the car with Sam and now with Ben (Nicholas Elia). Dean checks the house with rosary in hand and water and keeps a gun under the bed. Dean has a drink with Sid (Russel Porter). It's been a year without Sam. Dean "lived on the road" and had a job in pest control. Dean is almost respectable now.

The parking lot of Petco Park was abuzz yet again tonight, this time courtesy of Warner Bros. in honor of the August 12th release of Final Destination 5. While I did catch the film’s stars Nicholas D’Agosto, P.J. Byrne, Tony Todd, Miles Fisher and Arlen Escarpeta floating around, the spotlight belonged to a portable theater screening the film’s opening disaster. Before the Final Destination 5 footage began, the audience of about 30 or so relived the past four films in a montage of the most gruesome kills. After enjoying Rory (Jonathan Cherry) getting sliced and diced, Evan Lewis (David Paetkau) taking a ladder to the face and poor Ms. Lewton...

There's finally some good news for fans of CBS's Flashpoint TV show.

It has been less than six months since I reviewed the Season 1 DVD release of Flashpoint here on CinemaSpy.com. Nevertheless, Phase 4 Films is already releasing episodes from Season 2 on the Canadian home entertainment market. If you purchased the first season set and are expecting more of the same, though, you might not be totally satisfied. Flashpoint Season 2 Volume 1, which comes out north of the border today, includes more of the intelligent script writing and slick action that characterize this Canadian procedural. Unlike the 13-episode Season 1 DVD set, however, this new release includes only nine episodes from Season 2. What's more, it doesn't even have the smattering of extra features that its predecessor included. And there's no Blu-ray version to boot.
Want to know more: Flashpoint revolves around the assignments of the fictional Police Strategic Response Unit (Sru). Each hour-long episode is centered on the latest assignment of this crack police team.

Attention to those who live in Canada and the USA. The second season of Flashpoint is coming soon on DVD. However, since this Canadian cop drama is distributed by a specific distributor in each country, expect the release in both countries to be different.

This team is led by Sgt. Gregory Parker (Enrico Colantoni), a negociator. In each episode, the Sru try to finish their intervention as peacefully as possible through negociations with suspects.

The Toronto-shot procedural Flashpoint has been an outstanding success in the annals of Canadian television. The series is a big hit with viewers in its native country and the 19 Gemini nominations that it received this year testify to the high regard Canada's industry professionals have for the show. Even more impressive, perhaps, has been the success Flashpoint has achieved in the United States. During its summer run on CBS, the first season w was the network's top original scripted series. Not since Due South has a Canadian show achieved that sort of success in a TV landscape where procedurals breed like proverbial rabbits.
Flashpoint is now in its third season on Canada's CTV network. To coincide with this, the first season has been released on DVD by Phase 4 Films in Canada and CBS Television in the Us (a Blu-ray edition is also available in Canada). The set contains all 13 episodes...
