Irene Parveen is a Pakistani film playback singer who sang in both Urdu and Punjabi language films. She was introduced to the film industry in film Noor-e-Islam (1958)by music director Hasan Latif. She is best known for her super-hit duet song with playback singer Masood Rana in film Aina (1966)..."Tum hee ho mehboob meray,mein kyun na tumhein pyaar karoon".She also paired up with Ahmed Rushdi to sing many super-hit songs in the 1960's and 1970's.Music director Naashad had her sing another memorable duet song with Ahmed Rushdi in film Salgirah (1969)..."Lazzat soz-e-jigar pooch lay parwanay se".Another Punjabi super-hit film song from film Mera Mahi (1964)was composed by Ghulam Ahmed Chishti..."Sahdi ajab kahani ae". This song was a duet song with Masood Rana again. She moved to England in 1983 and still lives there in 2015 with her family.
