Geri Halliwell is back with "Angels in Chains," her first music release in 12 years. The former Spice Girls singer wrote the single in memory of her late friend George Michael, who died in December 2016 of natural causes as the result of heart disease and a fatty liver. The song was released worldwide Monday, three days after Michael's 54th birthday. Halliwell plans to donate all the song's profits to one of the Wham! singer's favorite charities: Child Line. Chris Porter, who worked with Michael for over 30 years, produced "Angles in Chains." Other contributors include music director Chris Cameron, guitarist Phil Palmer, and singers Jay Henry, Lucy Jules and Shirley Lewis, all of whom had...

Sheffield United manager Brian Clough was outraged as referee Andre Marriner denied his side what looked like a clear penalty. Chris Porter gave the home side the lead before Michael Doyle was dismissed early in the second-half.
The spot-kick could have awarded the Blades a two-goal lead but instead Rodallega pulled Fulham level three minutes later. Clough said:
“I asked Ryan Flynn if there was contact for his penalty appeal and he said there was. Andre is one of the nicest guys you’ll meet but some of his decisions today frustrated us.”
The Blades manager took his League One side into half-time with a one-goal lead but saw his team reduced to ten-men in the second period, another decision that he believes changed the course of the game. He said:
“I think it did. Even with ten men we were a threat but we had to defend a bit more.

Sheffield United put Fulham to the sword this afternoon and will be disappointed to have not emerged victorious.
Chris Porter gave the Blades the lead after 30 minutes but at the beginning of the second period the Blades were reduced to 10 men as Michael Doyle lashed out. With eight minutes to go Rodallega sent the game to a replay with a clean strike.
Hugo Rodallega had an early chance to give the visitors the lead but he headed Giorgos Karagounis’ header just over the Sheffield United crossbar.
Fulham were forced into an early change as John Arne Riise makes way to be replaced by Plumain, Damien Duff moves to left-back.
As the rain picked up Jose Baxter had a good opportunity to give the Blades the lead from a free-kick in a central area but his strike caused no real danger and went the wrong side of the post.

League One strugglers Sheffield United will be targeting another Fa Cup upset in their fourth round tie at home to Premier League club Fulham.
The Blades won away at Villa Park to set up this tie whilst Rene Meulensteen’s side needed a replay to get past Norwich and remain in the oldest knockout football competition in the world.
Nigel Clough and United can be confident about their chances as they never lost to Fulham in a League Cup or Fa Cup tie in eight previous meetings. The last time these two sides met in the Premier League – some seven years ago – the Blades recorded a 2-0 win.
Knocking Aston Villa out of this competition is the only victory earned by the Blades in the New Year so far. I witnessed their last outing, a 2-...

In sad news, Kathryn Joosten of Desperate Housewives and West Wing fame has passed away from cancer at the age of 72. Her characters were always brassy and fun, and the world is a dimmer place without her.
The New York Times delves into the idea of "gaydar" and how we use subtle visual cues about facial structure and movement to intuit sexuality. Personally, my gaydar is useless these days. The younger generation is more at ease with their sexuality, and every guy under 25 pings for me.
Charlize Theron chews the scenery in Snow White and the Huntsman to great effect evidently, with a projected box office haul of $55 million. Men In Black 3 will be second with $29 million, and The Avengers pulls in another $19 million to become the third highest grossing movie in history behind Titanic and Avatar.

Klaus should really indulge his appetites more.
Welcome back to Celebrity Twitterwatch, where we try and make sense of what the beautiful people are talking about, or at least create a narrative thread more coherent than the plot of the Glee Christmas episode.
Joseph Morgan is a big part of the reason that there are no unwatched episodes of The Vampire Diaries on my DVR, while shows I've loved for years like Supernatural languish for weeks going on months. He proves that it's possible to play a powerful, ancient baddie with an understated, quiet menace. I just wish he spent more time out of his clothes. I can't wait for his brothers to pop up, but for now I'll just go with this image.
I'm not surprised that Dave Salmoni prefers animals to humans in any way. But I think the definition of weird needs to be discussed - are we talking Teddy Bear,...
