Queen Elizabeth was gifted her engagement ring from Prince Philip and wore it daily until her death in September 2022. So where is it today? Who has it?
Who has Queen Elizabeth’s engagement ring?
The royal family generally bequeaths heirloom jewelry to others in the House of Windsor. Therefore, it is likely that Queen Elizabeth’s engagement ring is now in safekeeping for an undisclosed family member.

The queen was known to have around 400 tiaras, rings, necklaces, and brooches. The jewelry collection is reportedly rich in history and of unmistakable value. These jewels are stashed 40 feet under Buckingham Palace in a converted air raid shelter with an alarm connected to the palace’s police station. Even royal weddings don’t always go to plan as evidenced by Prince William and Kate Middleton’s 2011 nuptials. There was a small hiccup when Queen Elizabeth II didn’t follow the rules just before the Prince and Princess of Wales got married. She didn’t wear white to the ceremony, although she has before. This time around, the queen’s car pulled up on the wrong side, putting her at odds with royal etiquette.

Upon sweeping the four main drama acting categories at the 2021 Emmy Awards, “The Crown” stars Olivia Colman, Josh O’Connor, Gillian Anderson, and Tobias Menzies all joined a special roster of lead or supporting TV academy honorees who were not part of their shows’ original casts. As members of the expansive Netflix series’ second of three distinct ensembles, this quartet and their co-stars were replaced ahead of season five by a new group of actors, some of whom could be added to said exclusive winners club later this year.
According to Gold Derby’s odds, the performer from the sixth and final season of “The Crown” with the best shot at Emmy glory is supporting female frontrunner Elizabeth Debicki. Therefore, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told GBNews: “April 9th is also the date of Prince Philip’s death, so it will be tinged with sadness.” Fitzwilliams believed the couple celebrated “privately,” but “they may well release a photograph.”
Per the royal family’s official Instagram, the king and queen consort did not release a celebratory photograph documenting their wedding anniversary. Instead, the king was...

When it was announced that then-Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles were engaged to be married, much of the public wasn’t totally on board with the idea, and neither was Queen Elizabeth II. The late monarch had to make a decision about whether she was even going to attend her son’s second wedding.
As the head of the Church of England, the queen ultimately decided that it was not appropriate for her to be present at the civil wedding of two people who had been divorced. She did, however, attend a religious blessing held at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle along with the other members of the royal family. And now a video from that day is going viral showing the unexpected reactions during that ceremony from Queen Elizabeth and others in attendance.

More than three decades after they first met, King Charles and Queen Camilla (formerly Camilla Parker Bowles) tied the knot.
On April 9, 2005, the pair said “I do” at Windsor Guildhall. Because it was the second marriage for both parties, they had a civil ceremony which was followed by a service of prayer and dedication. Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip, were only at the religious blessing. The latter ceremony was attended by 800 guests. Crowds lined the streets near the chapel to see the pair after the blessing. The celebration then moved to Windsor Castle where Queen Elizabeth hosted a reception.
Some have wondered what Charles and Camilla do on their wedding anniversary each year. Do they mark the occasion with some special plans? Do they give each other fancy gifts? Or is it just another day full of public engagements and royal duties for them? Well now someone...

Princess Diana and then-Prince Charles tied the knot more than four decades ago in what was described as a fairy tale wedding. However, their marriage didn’t mirror a storybook about princes and princesses who live happily ever after.
When Diana found out that her husband was still seeing his mistress, formerly known as Camilla Parker Bowles, the princess tried turning to others for help. She wrote letters to her husband’s father, Prince Philip, and eventually went to Charles’ mother, Queen Elizabeth II, for guidance. But as a royal expert has revealed, the queen really “dreaded” those conversations with her daughter-in-law.

Kate Middleton wasn’t there for the British royal family’s Easter festivities. Although it seems she still got something of a shoutout from other royal women. Green was the color of the day for many, and as it turns out, the hue has a sweet connection to the Princess of Wales. Not to mention what green symbolizes holds extra significance in the wake of Kate’s cancer diagnosis.
Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, and Sarah Ferguson wore green, Kate’s favorite color, on Easter
When many British royals stepped out on March 31, 2024, for the royal family’s annual walk to church at Windsor Castle, they did so wearing Kate’s favorite color, green.
Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, and Sarah Ferguson, just to name a few, wore green as they headed to St. George’s Chapel in Windsor, England.
The queen, 76, wore a coat dress by designer Anna Valentine in a bold emerald green shade.

As Prince William moves into his royal duties in 2024, he leaves Kate Middleton behind. Here’s why the Prince of Wales will have a “depressingly solo” year according to a royal commentator.
Prince William must maintain a front-facing profile as a working royal, without Kate Middleton
After taking off some time to assist his wife, Kate Middleton, after her abdominal surgery and subsequent cancer diagnosis, Prince William has returned to a front-facing role as a senior royal. The Prince of Wales has begun to resume his aborted calendar of the past several months.
Daniela Elser of News.com.au writes that the Prince and Princess of Wales are a double duo during significant royal events. However, as the princess recovers from cancer, William will work alone for an undetermined amount of time.
She writes, “For the past 13 years, since the Waleses wedding, the prince has been able to generally depend...

No matter how socially successful you are, it is deeply distressing to think that your father and your spouse are simultaneously fighting cancer. Prince William is under unfathomable pressure, especially when you consider that the world is watching him and that he and the Princess of Wales are raising three children.
Going even further, despite his optimism following Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis, he surely might have remembered the triggers that led to the death of his own mother (Princess Diana) when he was only 15 years old.

And he would understandably be devastated if the same happened to his own children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Grant Harrold, the former butler for King Charles, reportedly spoke at length about Middleton’s cancer diagnosis and how it affected her husband.

The royal family has been going through a lot ever since the start of 2024. In January, the palace announced that Kate Middleton had undergone a planned abdominal surgery and would be out of royal duties for about two months. Shortly after, King Charles revealed he had been diagnosed with cancer after undergoing a prostate procedure. And things only became more difficult when Kate Middleton announced she has been diagnosed with cancer as well.
Now, with Kate and Charles out on medical leave and Prince William and Camilla Parker Bowles taking care of them, the public could start seeing a lot more of Prince Edward, Charles’ youngest sibling.

An apparently happy and healthy-looking Kate Middleton was seen walking alongside her husband, Prince William, near Windsor Castle in video footage reportedly shot over the weekend. The video is helping to dispel one of this year’s most enduring conspiracy theories regarding her health and whereabouts while recovering from abdominal surgery — though skepticism still abounds, as the Palace has yet to verify or comment on the video. And now speculation around the royal has moved to a second image she shared in 2022 that on Tuesday was deemed to have been altered.
The video was shot on Saturday about a mile outside of Windsor, England, and has been verified by TMZ, which posted the clip online on Monday. The Middleton sighting had initially been reported over the weekend, without the footage, and the new clip seemingly verifies those reports; TMZ stated that it verified that footage metadata. Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, caught royal watchers by surprise in 2020 when they announced that they were stepping down from royal duties and moving to America. What was even more surprising for the royal family were the public shots the duke and duchess took at members of the Firm and the monarchy as a whole after they left.

It’s been a tough few months for Britain’s royal family. First, there was the announcement that the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) needed a lengthy recovery time and canceled her royal duties through March. Then, the Palace announced that King Charles had been diagnosed with a “form of cancer.”

Everyone knows the name John Wilkes Booth. The actor shot U.S. president Abraham Lincoln at Ford’s Theatre in 1865, only five days after Union forces won the Civil War. But have you heard of Edwin M. Stanton, the driven secretary of war and close friend of Lincoln who led the ensuing manhunt to nab the assassin? His life-risking 12-day pursuit through a fractured nation is brought to life in Manhunt, a seven-episode limited drama based on James L. Swanson’s 2006 bestseller and starring Tobias Menzies. “Stanton’s not necessarily straightforwardly likable; he’s fierce, uncompromising,” says Menzies, who counts him among the “deeply complex and contradictory” types he’s drawn to play, such as Prince Philip in The Crown, for which he won an Emmy, and sadistic “Black Jack” Randall in Outlander. Parting is such sweet sorrow, particularly when it comes to Emmy voters. In recent years, the TV academy has given goodbye hugs to four Best Drama Series contenders for their final seasons: “Succession” (2023), “Game of Thrones” (2019), “Breaking Bad” (2014) and “The Sopranos” (2007). The only other dramas to land on this farewell list all hail from many decades ago: “Upstairs, Downstairs” (1977), “Elizabeth R” (1972), “The Bold Ones: The Senator” (1971) and “Playhouse 90” (1960). Will “The Crown” now become the ninth such program at the upcoming 2024 Emmys?
According to Gold Derby’s early Emmy odds, “The Crown” is way out front to win Best Drama Series for its sixth and final season. Rounding out the likely Top 8 nominees are “The Morning Show,” “The Gilded Age,” “Slow Horses,” “Loki,” “3 Body Problem,” “The Curse” and “Sugar.” Netflix notably split up the last episodes of “The Crown” into two parts — the first part streamed November 16 and dealt...

The royal family has dominated the headlines so far in 2024 regarding the health of some senior royals.
It was revealed in mid-January that the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) had abdominal surgery that required a lengthy hospital stay and recovery time at home. Days after Kate’s operation, King Charles was admitted to the same London Clinic hospital and underwent a procedure for an enlarged prostate. It was announced 10 days later that tests found the monarch had cancer and he began receiving treatment.
Now down two senior royals, the family is now stretched pretty thin and feeling the effects of a slimmed-down monarchy which the king’s sister, Princess Anne, never thought was a good idea.

Kate Middleton’s surgery was ‘very serious’
Tom Bower penned books about Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and King Charles. He claims those he has spoken to within royal circles claim Kate Middleton’s surgery was “very serious.”
“You’re not being told what the surgery was,” Tom Bower told TalkTV. “My understanding is that it was very serious.”
“I won’t reveal what I have been told, but she is seriously ill. It is not fatal. She will recover,” Bower continued.
“But it is a long healing process. This is why she has disappeared from view,” he concluded of the Princess of Wales’ health.

“But it is a long healing process. This is why she has disappeared from view,” he concluded of the Princess of Wales’ health.

Sarah Ferguson, widely known as Fergie, faced years of exile from the royal spotlight after her high-profile divorce from Prince Andrew in 1996. However, recent events indicate a significant shift in her relationship with the royal family, as she appears to have been warmly embraced once again.
The Duchess of York, now 64, has experienced a series of noteworthy invitations and appearances that demonstrate her renewed connection to the royals. She attended the King’s Coronation Concert in May and spent Christmas in Sandringham, where she walked alongside members of the Royal Family to attend church services.
The most recent indication of her reintegration was her prominent presence at the memorial service for the late King Constantine of Greece, held at Windsor Castle.
In a remarkable turnaround, Prince Andrew, who was stripped of his royal duties and Hrh title just two years ago, led the royal contingent into St George’s Chapel,...

Prince Harry has a long and difficult path ahead on the road to reconciling with King Charles III and Prince William. A commentator thinks the Duke of Sussex will need “perseverance” to reconcile with his father and brother. After so much “open warfare,” the situation’s not “going to be healed overnight.”
Charles and William aren’t likely to quickly go from ‘open warfare’ to trusting Harry
In the Feb. 20, 2024, episode of The Royal Report podcast, co-host Jack Royston discussed the possibility that Harry has a long way to go before patching things up with his father, the king, and brother, the Prince of Wales.
“Charles and William, I’m sure, will view Harry as having persistently betrayed them on multiple occasions over several years,” Royston said. “Including during times of grief, such as when Prince Philip died or when the queen [Elizabeth II] died.”
“So obviously, they’re not...

Which monarchs attended the 2019 Order of the Garter ceremony?
The event is the oldest British Order of Chivalry founded by Edward III in 1348. The Garter ceremonial dates from 1948 when the formal installation was revived by King George VI for the first time since 1805.
Each year in June, the Garter Day procession and ceremonies are held at St. George’s Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle. They are attended by senior members of the royal family including William, who was installed as the order’s 1000th...

Here’s more on that, plus what some royal commentators are accusing the duke and duchess of after they used a certain image on their new website.
