[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Survivor Season 46 Episode 11, “My Messy, Sweet Little Friend.”] Survivor Season 46 has had one clear trend: immunity idols often go home with the week’s eliminated player. It happened with Tiffany last week and Hunter the week before that, as well as Tevin a few episodes prior. The pattern repeated yet again in Episode 11 when a player found an idol, didn’t use it to shield themselves, and got eliminated all in one episode. Every time an idol gets flushed out, one gets put back in the game, leading surviving players on idol hunts. The Survivor 46 cast has hunted for idols so often this season, but one of the wildest goose chases came in Episode 11 on May 8. Jeff Probst says that this season’s idol pattern made the production team “reevaluate” things. The search for the idol was a long, fun sequence that involved most of the players. Kenzie was still reeling from having ...

Heading into the 11th episode of “Survivor 46,” the remaining castaways had just voted out Tiffany Nicole Ervin with a hidden immunity idol in her pocket. That left seven people still in the game: three from the original Siga tribe, two from the original Nami tribe (Liz Wilcox and Venus Vafa), and two from the original Yanu tribe (Kenzie Petty and Q Burdette). So which castaway had their torch snuffed by host Jeff Probst this week?

It’s been a dramatic season of Survivor in Fiji, with many blindsides happening at Tribal Council.
Survivor fans will hear from those castaways who got blindsided during the part on finale night.
Unfortunately, we don’t get a real Survivor 46 reunion, which would have been entertaining with this cast.
As with recent seasons of Survivor, this one also ends with the final three players and the jury celebrating together immediately after the vote for a winner.
Revealing the winner in Fiji has changed the entire tone of Survivor finale nights, but everyone is trying to get used to it.
At least the producers and CBS give Survivor fans that recap hour because not every reality competition show gets one.
When is the Survivor 46 season finale?
The Survivor 46 season finale is on Wednesday, May 22. The episode will begin with five people still competing to become the Sole Survivor.

The Big Brother 26 cast will be a group of all-new players.
The production team has revealed that an “all-new group of houseguests” is moving into the Big Brother house this summer.
Fans pleading for no returners will get their wish, and some new faces will be introduced soon.
It’s been a while since the producers used returning players, with the Big Brother 22 season being the last time.
For the BB22 cast, producers invited popular players from over the years, and they called it Big Brother: All-Stars 2. Cody Calafiore was declared the winner that season.
The Big Brother 26 start date has also been revealed, giving fans a two-day season premiere that should be packed with excitement.
An all-new cast for Big Brother 22 – But possible twists?
Even though this is a group of all-new players for Summer 2024, the producers could still introduce a twist or two.

Survivor 46 has seen some big moments during the game so far this season, but there was one moment that happened that put one castaway’s life in danger. This castaway was Venus Vafa and she ended up catching on fire in the middle of the night.
Not only that, but Survivor caught it on video and released it as a behind-the-scenes feature.
Venus Vafa Catches On Fire On Survivor 46
Venus Vafa was part of a big move on Survivor last week. She worked with Kenzie Petty and Maria Gonzalez pulled one over on Tiffany Nicole Ervin when they blindsided her. When she saw her name on the parchment, she said she was shocked at what happened.

“When they say blindside, they literally mean blindside,” Tiffany said (via EW). “I was not ready for that at all, but it was almost like an immediate shock.

No one knows when to play their idols in “Survivor 46.” After the ninth episode when Hunter McKnight was blindsided with an idol in his pocket when he did not follow his instincts, the same thing happened again in “Run the Red Light.” Meanwhile, Q Burdette attempts to win back some goodwill, which consequently leads to probably one of the biggest dramatic public meltdowns seen in the history of “Survivor.” And Maria Shrime Gonzalez starts to take some independent control in this game. Let’s break it all down in this “Survivor 46” episode as we start inching closer to the end of the season with three episodes left to go.
Liz Wilcox has not been having a great last few days, from her feeling she did not receive credit for the blindside of Soda Thompson to now being left out of the blindside of Hunter, going instead for Q. Little does...

Tiffany has revealed why she didn’t use her Immunity Idol – a safety valve that would have guaranteed her a spot in the final seven.
Tiffany also revealed some shocking details about that epic blowup by Liz Wilcox. Tiffany revealed Liz was invited to join them, but that one castaway stood in her way.

Survivor 46 has been a season of blindsides and Tiffany Ervin became the latest person to be surprised by her elimination.
With the castaways down to just eight people competing for the $1 million prize, Q Burdette was the vocalized target again.
Q became an even bigger target at the Reward Challenge when he didn’t select Liz Wilcox as one of the people to enjoy the Applebee’s feast.
But a plan was in motion thanks to Kenzie Petty, who feared that if she didn’t strike first, Tiffany would target her soon.
Despite everyone knowing Tiffany had the Hidden Immunity Idol, and despite Tiffany knowing that everyone knew, she kept it in her pocket during Tribal Council.
Tiffany made the same mistake that Hunter McKnight had made at the previous Tribal Council, and she joined him on the Survivor 46 jury.
Why didn’t Tiffany use her Immunity Idol on Survivor 46?
“Okay,...

Last week, host/producer Jeff Probst broke the internet when he announced that Season 50 of “Survivor” would welcome back returning players. For clarity’s sake, the last time former castaways came back to the island was in Season 40 for “Winners at War,” so this news was a long time coming for fans. But with “Survivor 50” not expected to film until Spring 2025 (and air in early 2026), what does that mean for the upcoming 47th, 48th and 49th installments of CBS’s reality TV show? Will they feature all-new faces or returning contestants, or perhaps a mix of both?
“I would say, generally speaking, probably new players,” Probst told Gold Derby on the red carpet at the CBS New Fall Schedule Party at Paramount Studios on Thursday, May 2. “I mean, that’s the idea. Let’s make 50 that’s the first time that we bring people back so we can really lean...

The new Survivor episode was big, with the final eight competing for a feast and then for Individual Immunity.
Hunter McKnight was voted out on the previous episode, in a re-vote after he was tied with Q Burdette. The final vote was 6-1 against Hunter.
What made it worse for Hunter was that he left the game with a Hidden Immunity Idol in his pocket. He had talked about using it but changed his mind before the vote.
Hunter became the third member of the Survivor jury, joining Soda Thompson and Tevin Davis on the outside.
It was the third straight jury member to have been blindsided, showing how much chaos had been happening.
Here’s why Hunter didn’t play his Immunity Idol. He shared his thoughts on social media after that fateful episode.

Quintavius “Q” Burdette seems to be in an impossible position after his recent shenanigans, but that doesn’t stop him from trying to take control in the ninth episode of “Survivor 46,” where his game seems toast due to his previous tribal council dramatics. But it turns out there may be other threats in this game with much more power due to their advantages; and one player attempts to use that to his benefit, however questionable it may be. We get straight to right after the last tribal council where Tiffany Nicole Ervin rips into Q for his vote-out plea to the tribe and for revealing that she had an idol. She is not the only one who has...

In this week’s “Survivor 46” promo video (watch above), the eight remaining players return to camp after blindsiding Hunter McKnight, but only one of them wasn’t in on the plan. “Considering I was the only person that was left out of this vote, I feel pretty dumb,” Liz Wilcox tells the camera. “On top of that, I wanted to get Q out,” she says about Q Burdette, who continues to surprise everyone at each tribal council with his wild antics.
“He did almost blow up my game,” Liz continues. “And he’s not someone that I can trust moving forward.” In last week’s episode, Q and Hunter each received four votes, which instigated a revote. Hunter was then ousted by a 6-1 vote over Q, with Liz being the only one who wrote down Q’s name a second time.

With the recent death of Sonja Christopher still on the minds of fans, Gold Derby chatted exclusively with Probst about his thoughts on the first-ever contestant to be voted off of CBS’s reality TV show.
“Every time I saw Sonja,” Probst remembered, “whether it was on the first season when she was tripping in the first challenge and that kind of doomed her, or when I would see her at ‘Survivor’ events, she was always joy, always happy, always wanting to know how you were doing. Things are moving fast for the next installment of Survivor.
Just days after saying that there were no plans in place for the 50th season of the reality show, host Jeff Probst updated its progress.
During a Survivor Q&a event with EW Editor in Chief Patrick Gomez on Saturday night at the Ovation Hollywood complex in Los Angeles, Probst revealed that Survivor 50 (which will air in the spring of 2026) will feature all returning players.
“I just got an idea,” said Probst. “Survivor 50 is coming down the corner. The truth is, we really do focus on 47 and 48, that’s what we’re heading out to shoot next, and then we have to shoot 49. But we know 50 is coming, so I am curious, is there a feeling, should 50 be another season with new players and don’t make it a big deal?”
The audience yelled out no. Probst then asked, “Or should it be returning players?...

Hunter McKnight’s final episode as a player on Survivor 46 aired recently, and the fan favorite has shared his thoughts on the season.
Only nine players remained after Tevin Davis got blindsided at a Tribal Council where Q Burdette caused chaos. And Hunter was the only person other than Tevin who had voted for someone else (they voted against Venus Vafa).
Venus was pretty ticked off that her name had been written down, and Hunter brushed aside her complaints. That might have been a mistake.
Some Survivor fans might argue that Hunter was already the biggest target left in the game due to how good he was at challenges.
Those same Survivor fans expressed anger and frustration when Hunter got voted out with an Immunity Idol still in his pocket.
Following his early exit on Survivor 46, Episode 9, Hunter has been answering questions about his time in Fiji.

Hunter McKnight was voted out on the latest Survivor 46 episode.
During an episode where Hunter continuously said he was about to use his Hidden Immunity Idol, his safety seemed guaranteed.
But then Hunter didn’t use his Idol, the target shifted to him after a split vote, and Hunter was suddenly the third jury member.
It seemed like Hunter was on a trajectory to possibly win Survivor 46, especially due to how good he was at challenges.
Having found a Hidden Immunity Idol, Hunter could always fall back on that if he failed to win a challenge.
When Charlie Davis won the latest Immunity Challenge on Episode 9, Hunter should have been ready to use his Idol.
Survivor fans react to Hunter being voted out and not using Immunity Idol
Many Survivor fans were frustrated and upset about Hunter getting voted out. But they weren’t just mad at the other castaways.
