G.O. Parsons, the writer behind the Nicolas Cage-led horror comedy Willy’s Wonderland, is up to his old tricks. Parsons wants to give automated animals another go with the Beast of Bower Boulevard, a three-part digital comic debuting this week. Initially funded on Kickstarter, Beast of Bower Boulevard unfolds in a secluded ski town, where a sheriff’s deputy and his family investigate after things go quiet. Once they reach their destination, they discover the urban area is under attack by a robot dinosaur built by the military!
Beast of Bower Boulevard gives off ’70s and ’80s vibes with a splash of absurdity. Initially written as a screenplay, Parsons converted the script after working with publisher American Mythology on the Willy’s Wonderland comics. While Parsons is thrilled about the Beast of Bower Boulevard stomping onto the comic book page, he’s not ruling out a live-action adaptation if a studio shows interest.

"You're here to be a human sacrifice!" Screen Media has debuted a full-length trailer for the wacky action horror film Willy's Wonderland, which we first teased last year. This is the gnarly movie about Nicolas Cage fighting evil furry animatronics. A quiet drifter is tricked into a janitorial job at the now condemned Willy's Wonderland - which seems to be mocking Chuck E. Cheese. The mundane tasks suddenly become an all-out fight for survival against wave after wave of demonic animatronics. Fists fly, kicks land, titans clash -- and only one side will make it out alive. The film stars Nicolas Cage, Emily Tosta, Beth Grant, Ric Reitz, and Chris Warner. I don't even need to watch this trailer, I'm already sold! Bring it on. This looks like just the right mix of insanity and bloody mayhem and Cage Rage. Can't wait to watch with pizza & beer. Here's the full-length...

The SAG-AFTRA local in Atlanta is offering its members an election do-over: If they’ve already cast their ballots for board candidates, they can vote again for different candidates.
The unusual move comes after the local’s ruling faction, Union Strong Atlanta (USA), received an unfair and potentially illegal advantage from a local talent agency and from an acting workshop, which had posted campaign materials and promoted the Union Strong slate on their Facebook pages.
Prior to ballots being mailed last month, SAG-aftra’s national election committee informed employers and agents that “federal law prohibits any employer, including employers who are agents, managers, casting directors or producers, from contributing anything of value to candidates for any SAG-aftra elected office. If there is a Department of Labor investigation, the Dol may seek to take statements from candidates and any employers who contributed to them. Further, any such contributions may...

Here are three examples: Stewart was a U.S. soldier who befriends an inmate (Peyman Moaadi) at the American Gulag, Guantanamo, in Peter Sattler's little-seen (at least in theaters) Camp X-Ray. She was one of Best Actress Oscar winner Julianne Moore's daughters in Wash Westmoreland and the recently deceased Richard Glatzer's Alzheimer's drama Still Alice. She was the personal assistant to troubled, aging actress Juliette Binoche in Olivier Assayas' Clouds of Sils Maria, which earned her a history-making Best Supporting Actress César. (Stewart became the first American actress to take home the French Academy Award.

A new one-sheet for Christian E. Christiansen's new demonic thriller 'The Devil's Hand' (previously known as 'Where the Devil Hides') has emerged. It's a tad uninspired I'm afraid to report and unfortunately has to rely on oversized text to give it some impact. It does however feature a number of the main cast members that includes Alycia Debnam Carey, Adelaide Kane (below) and Leah Pipes. Director Christiansen, who directed the Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly 'Single White Female' styled thriller 'The Roommate', helms from a script penned by Karl Mueller. Rufus Sewell, Thomas McDonell, Jim McKeny, Katie Garfield, Ric Reitz and former 'Dexter' actress Jennifer Carpenter also star. Check out the poster below....

Filmmaker tandem Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland know a thing or two about being on opposite ends of luck. It wasn’t for a lack of trying, but after breaking out with Quinceañera at Sundance back in 2006 (it got picked up by Spc and generated good box-office numbers), the pair had difficulties setting up their sophomore feature. They got their groove back when they dug into Hollywood folklore and sifted thru silver screen legend Errol Flynn‘s timeline – the lucky actor who hit jackpot and had a life that mimicked the notion of rags to riches to rags. An example of a film that might have got lost in the abyss of films presented at Tiff last September, but that might nudge out an afterlife theatrically, The Wrap reports that Samuel Goldwyn Films have picked up The Last of Robin Hood. A fall release is expected.

The film formerly known as The Occult has a bunch of things changing. The film is now entitled The Devil’S Rapture, which just sounds dreamy, and instead of opening in February, the Jennifer Carpenter vehicle won’t open until October!
October 11th to be exact. The film is directed by Christian E. Christiansen (The Roommate), who has proven more creative than his parents, from a script by Karl Mueller. The cast, after Dexter’s Carpenter, includes Alycia Debnam-Carey, Rufus Sewell, Thomas McDonell, Adelaide Kane, Leah Pipes, Colm Meaney, Stacey Edwards, and Ric Reitz.

The trailer for After is mystifying. The film's first trailer shows a black fog that threatens two characters: Freddy (Steven Strait) and Ana (Karolina Wydra). The darkness encroaches on the small town in which they are now trapped. What is the mist? And, is the narrative something from one of the character's nightmares? It is too early to tell, but fans of mystery will want to take a look at the reel below. In the clip, Freddy and Ana look for a way out of township of Pearl. The enclosing mist is moving so fast that they only have a matter of hours to find escape. As well, something is stalking these characters. Booms from behind a door are definitely created by a monstrous being, of some sort. Have a look at the film's first official trailer below. Release Date: September 12th (Theatres). Director: Ryan Smith. Writers: Jason Parish, and Ryan Smith.
