Gone with the Wind (1939) was the only movie role Rhett did. She was offered other roles,
but moved back to South Carolina citing she did not think she was right
for the parts.
During Gone With The Wind, between takes, Rhett sketched everything and everyone, later giving thumbnail portraits to the News & Courier.
Is an accomplished sketch and portrait artist. In fact, she was an
artist before working on Gone with the Wind (1939).
The only child of Lt. Edmund Moore Rhett and Isabel Beatrice (Murdoch) Rhett, she was reportedly raised in Delaware and South Carolina.

Rhett died of natural causes about 5 p.m. at the Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community in Charleston, S.C.
