She had a smile that would light up the room and a scream that could chill you to the bone. It is with a truly heavy heart that we report on the passing of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre star Marilyn Burns.
TMZ broke the news about an hour ago that Burns was found dead today at her home in Texas. Burns was found by a family member in Houston, according to her rep, who adds they don't know a cause of death yet. The Medical Examiner's Office in Houston confirms they have Marilyn's body and an autopsy will be performed. She was 64 years old.

Marilyn Burns, who gained fame as heroine in the original “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” horror film, was found dead in her home by a family member in Houston, TheWrap has confirmed. A cause of death has not been released. She was 64. “It is with sad news that I can officially confirm that actress, Marilyn Burns passed away earlier today,” said her talent manager Chris Roe in a statement. “She was found unresponsive by a family member this morning in her Houston, TX area home. Paravel Films recently released their short film, Victorian Undead, online and we thought our readers would be interested in checking it out.
The short was written/directed by Ross Shepherd and stars Amber Coombs. It also features a cast of zombies played by Moog Gravett, Lou Preecy, Jamie Tighe, Charles-Henri Joslain, Rachel Dey, Richard Wilkinson, Frank Poklington, Matt Ingram, Jon Taylor, Rowen Robinson, Brian Clayton, Jo Peacock, Dave Thorpe, and Chris Roe.

THR reports that they will star opposite Malcolm McDowell and Joanne Whalley (The Borgias) in the indie thriller directed by Doug Rath. The film will tell the true story of "Roy Fontaine (aka Archibald Hall), a bisexual jewel thief/con man/serial killer who chronicles his personal descent into darkness leading up to his eventual capture."
Oldman will play "Wiggy, a taxidermist with anger issues and business on the side who partners with Fontaine on a number of crimes before things get heavy." Monaghan will play "David Wright, a key player in Roy’s life and who also serves as his Achilles' heel. Their relationship begins in prison and restarts when they both work on an estate. But a blackmail attempt forces Fontaine’s hand and begins his descent into murder and mayhem."
Dark House Films is producing and Warner Bros.

When you think of final girls of the 80s, veteran actress Meg Foster may not immediately come to mind. But Foster, who was in both John Carpenter’s They Live and The Stepfather 2, is anything but your typical final girl.
In They Live she portrays Holly, who initially is thought to be an innocent bystander of the “fight the power” antics of Nada, played by WWF wrestler Roddy Piper. However, as the movie goes forward, we find that Holly isn’t nearly as innocent as she seems, and by the third act in the film, she kills Keith David and takes on Piper only to meet her demise.
