Jean who is best known for playing Dolly Skilbeck in Emmerdale Farm was born on February 2nd in Perivale, Middlesex and educated at a Worthing grammar school after which she took a secretarial course at Worthing College of Further Education then 2 years at Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she gained her LGSM. She spent 3 years as a presenter of Watch, a BBC schools programme then a period of time as a presenter and writer for Listen With Mother then had acting experience in such programmes as Callan, George and Mildred, General Hospital, The Harry Worth Show then the role of Nurse Rogers in Emergency Ward 10, Julie Shepherd in Crossroads and made her name with Emmerdale Farm
