Legendary showman and theater magnate, he was managing director of two
of New York City's legendary entertainment palaces, the Roxy Theater
(demolished) and perhaps his most enduring achievement, the Radio City
Music Hall, where his elaborate office is still referred to as the Roxy
Suite.
