Enya is bidding for a worldwide number one with a song from the Fellowship Of The Ring, the first of the Lord Of The Rings films. The reclusive Irish pop queen's lyricist Roma Ryan delved into writer J.R.R. Tolkien's trilogy to learn the special Elvish language. Enya has recorded two songs for the movie. She and Roma spent three months researching, writing and recording the tracks in Dublin before they were brought to London's Abbey Road studio to be backed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Roma says, "It was very exciting, the whole prospect of writing in a language that belonged to elves. I studied the language, its formulae, its rules and its grammar style. I just couldn't do it any other way." The two songs are entitled Aniron and May It Be.
