A third lawsuit has been filed against Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, alleging the singer raped a 15-year-old girl two decades ago.
The lawsuit was filed Monday by an unnamed Pennsylvania woman in Clark County, Nev., according to Las Vegas news station Ktnv.
In the legal filing, the woman, identified only as A.R., claims Carter sexually assaulted her multiple times in 2003, when Carter was 22 and 23 years old. She alleges Carter raped her in separate instances onboard a yacht and a boat in Florida, and sexually assaulted her on a bus.
A.R. claims Carter, now 43, instructed her “to keep his sexual abuse of her a secret.”
She is the third woman to file a lawsuit of this nature against the Backstreet Boys star. Two other women, Shannon Ruth and Melissa Schuman, have also accused Carter of rape and sexual assault. Ruth said Carter raped her when she was 17 years old.

A lawsuit filed in Nevada on Monday accused Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl multiple times.
The plaintiff, who is from Pennsylvania and was identified in the lawsuit as “A.R.,” reported the incidents to her mother, who then informed state police.
Carter allegedly assaulted the then-15-year-old girl in 2003, when the singer was 22 and 23. She has claimed that Carter raped her in a bedroom on his yacht and then instructed her to keep his actions a secret.

After she first alleged the assault in a 2017 blog post, Melissa Schuman of the ’00s pop band Dream has filed a formal lawsuit claiming Nick Carter drugged and raped her at a party in 2003 when she was 18. It marks the second sexual assault lawsuit filed against the Backstreet Boys member in just under six months.
The suit, filed in Los Angeles Tuesday, said the incident occurred while Schuman and Carter were starring together in the teen horror movie The Hollow. Schuman alleges that Carter gave her alcohol laced with a drug like flunitrazepam — notorious for its use as a “date rape” drug — before leading her away from the group and forcibly performing oral sex on her (via Billboard). “Defendant Carter exerted his control over plaintiff, despite knowing she did not consent, for his own sexual gratification,” the suit reads.

According to TMZ, Schuman filed the suit, in which she claims Carter sexually assaulted her in Santa Monica in 2002. She was 18 at the time, while he was 22.
The filing alleges that Carter forcibly performed oral sex on her, and forced her to do the same, and then took her virginity despite her protesting that she wanted to wait for marriage.
Schuman’s allegations are not new. She first came forward with her claims in 2017, and at the time had sought for the pop star to be criminally charged.
Despite filing a police report, the D.A.’s office declined to prosecute Carter for the alleged crimes.

Nick Carter has filed a countersuit against two women who have accused him of sexual assault.
In December, the Backstreet Boys singer was sued for sexual battery by Shannon Ruth, a woman who claims Carter raped her in 2001 when she was a teenage fan of his.
Carter was previously accused of rape in 2017 by Dream singer Melissa Schuman, who alleged that the incident occurred when she was 18 and he was 22.
Carter, who has previously denied the allegations, is now countersuing both Ruth and Schuman.
In court documents obtained by People on Friday (3 February), it’s claimed that the women are “opportunists” who set out to “destroy innocent lives” by taking advantage of the #MeToo movement.

A Backstreet Boys Christmas special TV show has been dropped amid sexual assault allegations made against singer Nick Carter.
The show, titled A Very Backstreet Holiday, was due to air on ABC on 14 December. However, The Hollywood Reporter reports that the show has since been pulled.
The Christmas special was going to include performances from the band’s latest album by the same name, which was released in October.
The decision to pull the show comes after Carter was reportedly sued for sexual battery of a minor, an allegation he denies.
In a lawsuit filed on Thursday 8 December, alleged victim Shannon Ruth claimed that Carter invited her onto the band’s tour bus while they were playing in Washington in 2001, per US media reports.
Ruth, who says she is autistic and lives with cerebral palsy, waived her right to anonymity and attended a press conference on Thursday with her lawyer Mark Boskovich in Beverly Hills.

ABC will no longer air its planned Backstreet Boys holiday special this month, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
A Very Backstreet Holiday was scheduled for Dec. 14 but has been pulled from the network’s schedule, and comedy reruns will air in its place. The special was set to feature the boy band singing tunes from its holiday album of the same name that was released in October.
The decision to pull the special follows a lawsuit filed Thursday alleging that Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter raped a 17-year-old fan on his tour bus after a 2001 concert in Tacoma, Washington. According to the civil suit filed in Nevada, now-39-year-old Shannon “Shay” Ruth claims that the singer chose her amid a group of autograph seekers to join him on the tour bus, gave her an alcoholic beverage called “VIP juice” and assaulted her.

A sexual assault allegation against Backtreet Boys singer Nick Carter by actress/singer Melissa Schuman is under review by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
The charges were presented July 31 by the Santa Monica Police Department and stem from an incident that dates to 2003. Schuman publicly revealed the incident in a November online post.
Carter, age 38, has denied the allegations. Schuman filed her police report in February, claiming the #MeToo movement empowered her to finally come forward. She wrote in November 2017 that she was “forced to engage in an act against my will” at his apartment and claimed that Carter assaulted her. They were both appearing in the film The Hollow at the time and were socializing on a day off from the shoot.
In addition to his singing career, Carter toplined reality series House of Carters which aired in 2006 on E! He’s also had guest roles on Undateable and 90210.
