Hello! It’s been a little while since we’ve had a new Catalog From The Beyond, hasn’t it? To be honest, in a year when it felt like my brain cells were squeezing out of my head like a tube of toothpaste, I had to take a break from some of the workload. But with the dawning of the New Year, I’m ready to hit the reset button and dive back into the Catalog.
I think it only fair to ease into things, however, so the following take won’t be the spiciest one I’ve ever put forth: Ken Foree seems like a pretty cool dude. After winning our hearts as the stoic Peter in George A. Romero’s classic Dawn of the Dead, he’s stayed there pretty much ever since in movies like From Beyond, Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, Lords of Salem, and...

Soap opera veteran Eileen Davidson is on her way out at “The Young and the Restless,” where she has played businesswoman Ashley Abbott on and off for 36 years. She confirmed her exit on Twitter on June 27 (scroll down to see her message). Will you be sad to see her go? Vote in our poll at the bottom of this post to let us know what you think of her upcoming departure.
“I’ve been so blessed to be able to play Ashley Abbott and work with the amazing people on the show and have nothing but gratitude and love for all!” Davidson tweeted. This isn’t the first time she has exited the top-rated CBS soap opera. After she originated the role in 1982 she spent six years on the show until leaving in 1988. In the intervening years Ashley was played by Brenda Epperson (1988-1995) and then Shari Shattuck (1996-1999) before...

Is Emmy winner Eileen Davidson about to leave CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless as Ashley Abbott? According to multiple outlets, including Daytime Confidential, the actress is quitting her longtime role because she wants to spend more time with her family.
Davidson has been playing the role of Ashley Abbott on and off since 1982. Brenda Epperson and Shari Shattuck have also played Ashley during that time.
Davidson's potential exit comes on the heals of Mishael Morgan's (Hilary) departure, which was precipitated by production company Sony's "no raise" policy. The actress has yet to comment on the story, but has been actively promoting Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month on social media in honor of her mother.

Though Scream Factory originally made their name by releasing comprehensive special editions of beloved horror titles and some lesser-known cult films deserving reappraisal, after five years the company is diversifying their output more and more. They struck an exclusive deal to release IFC Midnight titles, they’ve picked up a few films and put them out under the “Scream Factory” imprint, and have even developed and produced their very first original feature, Mark Pavia’s Fender Bender, in 2016. In addition to all of this, Scream Factory has begun releasing smaller and lesser-known catalogue titles, nearly bypassing the special features altogether and just giving some older cult titles their high-def debuts. Included in their latest slate of releases is everything from a John Stamos sci-fi action film (Never Too Young to Die) to an unofficial Troll sequel. Let’s take a look at four of these catalogue titles—The Screaming Skull,...

I don’t know if you’re anything like me, but I can often spend hours upon hours trawling through iTunes looking for new movies to buy… Usually I’ll randomly come across a title I haven’t seen in years and use the “Cast & Crew” links to make my way down the rabbit hole to the more obscure side of Apple’s digital movie service.
Now whilst many will decry that iTunes is a terrible VOD service due to Apple’s desire to lock its audience to their platforms, if you have an Apple TV or iPad be aware – there are some truly obscure films hidden away in the depths of the vast collection of movies. Some of which have been made available in the UK for the first time since VHS and a Lot that have been added to the service in their original uncut form!

As a fan of cult classic exploitation romps and binges there are few sets that appeal to me as much as The 4 Cult Movie Marathon series from Shout Factory. With the two new volumes in this series, the first two volumes, they’re stepping into some ground that is wholly appropriate for the label and which has been dominated by the Drive-In Cult Classics series from Mill Creek Entertainment and touches on some of what has made the Vinegar Syndrome a breakthrough label in 2013. The competition between these moving parts could be incredible, digging ever deeper to uncover the raunchiest, campiest and most exploitative. That’s not to say there aren’t a horde of labels and series vying for the crown of king smut, but I’m enjoying what I’ve seen from Shout and Vinegar especially. When there’s no more room at the bottom of the barrel,...

It’s getting warmer out and you may just feel like checking in to a gym. What better place to start than “Death Spa”! A late 80's horror movie is loaded in amusement and high levels of gore. I would recommend the uncensored version since the gore is over the top for the gore hounds out there. It has a 4.9 on IMDb and it’s not as bad as you may think it is.
I found this movie on VHS from Gorgon, which is fairly rare. If you see the creepy Medusa head come on the screen, you got yourself a Gorgon VHS! Gorgon is better known for their exploitative series “Faces of Death.” Also an alternate title that some foreign distributors have used is “Witch Bitch.”
The story is basically a man named Michael (William Bumiller) owns his own health gym spa. After a while,...
