- Shi Wei-Jian was born on March 9, 1935 in Huai'an, Jiangsu, China. He was an actor, known for Legend of Tianyun Mountain (1980), Xiong ji (1977) and Yang Gui Fei (1992). He died on May 12, 2024 in Beijing, China.
- After filming "The Legend of Tianyun Mountain", Shi Weijian returned to the stage and played Sun Yat-sen in "Sun Yat-sen's Passion in London". In 1983, Shi Weijian collaborated with Xie Jin in the movie "Qiu Jin", playing Sun Yat-sen again.
- In 1981, he played the leading actor Luo Qun in "Legend of Tianyun Mountain" directed by great director Xie Jin. The film caused a huge response after its release and won many awards including the 1st Golden Rooster Award and the 4th Hundred Flowers Award for Best Feature Film.
- Shi Weijian was admitted to the Shanghai People's Art Institute in 1949 to study acting. In 1956, he was transferred to the Central Experimental Theater from Shanghai People's Art Theatre.
- In 1950, the Shanghai People's Art Theater Actor Training School recruited students, and Shi Weijian signed up. Among more than 2,000 candidates, Shi Weijian became "one-fiftieth" who was admitted.
- In May 1993, Shi Weijian led the China Youth Art Theater to perform the drama "Guan Hanqing" in Taiwan.
