Hakim Ahmed Shuja was a pioneer film screenwriter. His film credits start in 1928. He also wrote many film scripts for the crucial early years of Pakistani film industry, when aspiring Pakistani film people were relying on him due to his experience in this field. So he played a key role in nurturing and encouraging the new film industry in Pakistan. Later his son, Anwar Kamal Pasha, became a pioneer and highly successful film producer and director in Pakistan.
