- New York club owner who was arrested with Lenny Bruce on obscenity charges in 1964.
- Former New York City night club owner arrested along with his wife in 1964 and charged with allowing an obscene act to go on in his club. The entertainer Lenny Bruce was also arrested. Solomon was found guilty, however in 1968 an Appellate Court overturned the lower court's decision. His wife was not charged.
- His club featured such acts as John Lee Hooker, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, B.B. King and Joni Mitchell.
- The name of the club in New York's Greenwich Village that Solomon owned was Cafe Au GoGo. It was located on Bleecker Street, and was managed by Jon Gibbs.
