Destiny Hope Cyrus was born on November 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tennessee, and is far better known today as Miley Cyrus, pop music sensation, film and television star, and trend-setting teen idol. Her father is the country/pop singer Billy Ray Cyrus and her mother is Leticia Cyrus (called "Tish"), and she's one of six children from both Billy Ray and Leticia, and from her parents' prior relationships. Destiny, the story goes, smiled so much as a child that she earned the nickname Smiley. It eventually stuck...sort of. The "S" fell away and Smiley became Miley. Billy Ray Cyrus had exploded into the public consciousness with his 1992 crossover hit single "Achy Breaky Heart" and the album Some Gave All. His star started to fade soon after, but he continued to plug away and did some acting as well. By 2001, he was headling the popular Pax television show, Doc (TV), a medical...

Hannah Montana: The Movie
Directed by: Peter Chelsom
Cast: Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus, Vanessa Williams, Lucas Till
Time: 1 hr 38 min
Rating: PG
Plot: The Hannah Montana persona has started to take over Miley Stewart’s life (Miley Cyrus), so her father (Billy Ray Cyrus) tricks her into returning to her roots in Tennessee. Via montages and silly slow-mo, Miley learns what’s truly important: people like you better when you’re blond.
Who’s It For? The three gazillion unquestioning, rabid devotees of Hannah Montana.
Expectations: I didn’t expect it to feel like an army brain-washing experiment where they trap you in a chair and peel your eyelids back and force you to watch hours of surreal crap until you’re turned into a mindless soldier for Disney—and I was dead wrong.
Scorecard (0-10)

Art imitates life (and vice versa) in Hannah Montana: The Movie, in which teen idol Miley Cyrus stars as the titular character, a 16-year-old A-list celebrity desperately trying to balance stardom with her normal life. That normal life is her "real" life as Miley Stewart, a high schooler whose pop identity is only known to family and friends and who is about to get a wake-up call in the form of an extended stay in the homegrown Tennessee countryside where she grew up, courtesy of dad Robby Ray Stewart (played by Miley's real-life father, country music star-turned-actor Billy Ray Cyrus)....

The "Hello New York" clip gives out that Miley Cyrus' Miley Stewart is so full of her Hannah Montana's popularity. Boarding a private plane with her father Robby Ray Stewart, she complains of needing a bigger bathroom. When they finally arrive at their destination, Stewart which is costumed in her Hannah Montana's character yells out "Hello, New York!". But, instead of hearing loud screams from her fans, she is greeted with a scenery of green pasture and an old and rusty pickup truck.

Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus has landed a part in "The Spy Next Door". Joining Jackie Chan in the new action comedy feature film, he will trade his Robby Ray Stewart character in "Hannah Montana" with a CIA agent role, as The Hollywood Reporter claimed.
In the movie, he will also share screen with other recently signed actors, George Lopez, Amber Valletta and Katherine Boecher. This role won't be Cyrus' first feature film credit as he has taken on minor role in 2001 mystery movie "Mulholland Drive" and 2004 Kim Basinger-starring film, "Elvis Has Left the Building".
While Cyrus will play a CIA agent, Lopez is set to star as another agent who might not be all that he appears. Furthermore, Valletta will be portraying the kids' mother, and Boecher will take the role of a Russian underworld operative.
