Sharp-suited and rebooted, Ghost Games’ Need for Speed overhaul stormed onto PlayStation 4 and Xbox One earlier this week. As the first installment in EA’s longstanding franchise in two years, the neon-clad arcade racer was bearing the brunt of considerable expectations – expectations that were put to the sword when it was revealed that this Nfs would be always-online.
But while core fans of the series took umbrage with the implementation of the controversial feature, there’s one front that Ghost has managed to win over any doubters, and that’s in regards to downloadable content. For a publisher renown for dolling out season passes, EA is adopting a change of tact with Need for Speed in that each and every sliver of add-on content will be released free of charge.

In an interview with The Guardian, Criterion's Creative Director Craig Sullivan says the studio isn't done with their crash-heavy series yet.
The relevant quote, which you can read in full below, shows that Criterion hasn't forgotten about Burnout--but being the shepherds of Need For Speed: Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit for EA seems to be occupying most of there time.
Here's what Sullivan said:
"There's still a lot of stuff we want to do with driving," he says. " We will make another Burnout game at some point. Obviously, as we're working on Nfs we're thinking of really good ideas that aren't right for this series; there are ideas that we're going to explore with Burnout. And we wouldn't be making Nfs or Burnout games if we didn't think the driving genre had a long shelf life and that we could push the boundaries. There's a lot of new stuff in Most Wanted,...

Hey Ranters! EA’s press conference for E3 2010 starts at 2Pm, and I’ll be there covering it live! I’ll do my best to share any information with you as soon as it happens, and I’m going to attempt a live chat while blogging. It’s our first time trying this so I apologize in advance for any hiccups we may experience.
EA has a killer lineup this year, including blockbuster games like: Bulletstorm, Crysis 2, Dead Space 2 and their full line-up of annual sports titles. Then, hopefully, they have a slew of surprises in store as well.
Stick around, leave your comments! I’ll do my best to answer any questions and they come up.
