Best remembered for her roles in the long-running 'Tilly the Tomboy' series. - Alma spent virtually her entire silent career, beginning in 1907, with producer Cecil M. Hepworth. She was the obvious favourite of the producer, who refused to let her wear make-up in any of his films. She starred in Hepworth's last film, The House of Marney (1927).
