The Ally McBeal cast takes time to dance on 2023 Emmys and has quite a bit of fun doing so — to the point that host Anthony Anderson has to remind them why they’re there (to present an award). Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal), Greg Germann (Richard Fish), Peter MacNicol (John Cage), and Gil Bellows (Billy Thomas) reunited where else but the bathroom set from the show. “I knew I drank too much water. I had to take my Spanx off. I had to put my dress back on,” Flockhart’s voiceover played as she looked in the mirror. “Woah, girl, you look good.” Then MacNicol, Germann, and Bellows all came out of the same stall to join Flockhart and dance, until Anderson reminded her she was there to give out an award. How could anyone blame them, though, when it was so clear how much fun they were having? It was short,...

I guess it comes down to a simple choice, really. Get busy living or get busy dying.
The Shawshank Redemption celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, and to mark the occasion stars Tim Robbins, Morgan Freeman and director Frank Darabont reunited for a special Academy screening of the film this week.
Digital Spy goes then and now with the cast of the beloved drama to find out what happened to them in the years since Shawshank's original release.
Tim Robbins (Andy Dufresne)
Already a well-established and respected actor by the time he won the role of Andy Dufresne, Tim Robbins saw his career surge in the wake of Shawshank. He bagged the role after Kevin Costner, Tom Hanks and Brad Pitt turned it down, but their loss was his gain.
Post-Shawshank he starred in films ranging from Mission to Mars, to High Fidelity and Green Lantern. His biggest career success...

Gil Bellows and Austin Nichols have rounded out the ensemble cast of the Tom Hanks-produced JFK-assassination drama film Parkland.
Journalist-turned-screenwriter Peter Landesman, the writer and director of Parkland has been blessed with a marvelous cast including Paul Giamatti, Billy Bob Thorton, Zac Efron and Marcia Gay Harden, as well as an indie darling Mark Duplass who has recently booked a role of campaign advisor and friend to John F. Kennedy, Kenny O’Donnell.
Parkland will ‘look inside the Parkland hospital — which housed John F. Kennedy, Lee Harvey Oswald, and, years later, Jack Ruby as they all perished — on November 22nd, 1963 as their workers and members of the President’s staff dealt with the chaos of that day.’
In order to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the 35th president’s death, producers are eyeing the U.S. theatrical release later this year.

You’ve seen the commercials. You’ve heard the hype. Now there’s only one thing you want to know: Which of the new fall shows are worth watching and which should be avoided at all costs? In this continuing series, we give you the scoop on some of the most highly-anticipated shows of the season, with today’s subject being Fox’s The Following.
The Boilerplate: Since these pilot presentations may go through numerous rewrites and casting changes prior to premiere, this by no means should be considered an official review. Rather a preview of what one can expect come Fall.
The Plot: After Joe Carroll, one of America’s most notorious serial killers escapes from death row to take care of some unfinished business, the FBI enlists the help of former agent Ryan Hardy, also known as the man responsible for Carroll’s capture nine years prior, to consult on the case.

It’s that time of year, and the networks are revealing their schedules for fall. Fox is always an interesting network when it comes to the upfront season, because they usually don’t have a lot of changes, but they often have fascinating (if doomed) series on the horizon.
The full schedule is below, as are breakdowns of the specific shows, along with trailers, and I want to make sure to point out that they are likely to expire very soon, so you want to catch them while you can.
The really big news for fall is that Glee is moving. The not so big news is that mid-week primetime is still going to be taken over by reality shows. Good news, though not quite news at this point, is that fans of Bones and Fringe are going to get more of their favorite shows, despite the fact that both...

It looks like earlier speculation that Kevin Williamson's serial killer project for Fox would be named "Mastermind" was incorrect as the network has officially announced it will be called "The Following", and we have the full synopsis and more details right here.
"The Following", starring Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy, will debut midseason. The spellbinding and intense drama follows an ex-fbi agent (Bacon) called out of retirement to track down a devious and diabolical serial killer (Purefoy), the mastermind behind a nationwide string of murders. There's already a Facebook page for "The Following" online, where you can find cast photos and additional info.
Synopsis:
The FBI estimates there are currently over 300 active serial killers in the United States. What would happen if these killers had a way of communicating and connecting with each other? What if they were able to work together and form alliances across the country? What...

In 1982, First Blood set off a chain reaction of “Namsploitation” films about Vietnam veterans thrust into danger yet again. The film proved that, in the 1980s, no badass was complete without a tour of duty in Nam on his resume. Now everybody knows who Rambo is but this list is dedicated to the lesser-known, direct-to-video heroes. Some are genuinely cool – most are unintentionally hilarious – but all are certifiably badass.

In Nam, Billy (Lou Ferrigno) saved the life of his buddy Scott (Reb Brown) but was shot in the head doing so. The brain damage essentially turned Billy into a very large man-child. Now Scott takes care of him, like a testosterone-fueled rendition of Of Mice and Men. The two friends open a bar together after the war but are harassed by local thugs. Billy is tricked into underground cage fighting, so naturally Scott has to save him…...
