Amerigo Tot was born on September 27, 1909 in Fehérvárcsurgó, Austria-Hungary [now Hungary]. He was an actor, known for The Godfather Part II (1974), Pulp (1972) and Satyricon (1969). He died on December 13, 1984 in Rome, Lazio, Italy.
He is primarily a sculptor; some of his work can been seen in the
Vatican.

The Amerigo Tot (Imre Tot) Museum in Pecs, Hungary, is named after him.
Best known for movie fans as Al Pacino's tough-looking bodyguard in The Godfather Part II. Ironically, the previous year, he acted in the neo noir Pulp that featured The Godfather (first movie) villain Al Lettieri.
