In 2004, he started his stage Broadway "Az Mahvareh Ba Eshgh"
co-starring Houshang Touzie (the husband of Shohreh Aghdashloo). The
show was a huge success among the Persian community in the US and all
over the World.
The unvanquished Exiled Iranian film superstar who traded persecution
in Iran for obscurity in the United States.
One of the most inspirational figures in the all-time Iranian movie
industry, admired by the new and older generation of film makers and
stars as the main inspiration for them.
In May 2000, acclaimed director Abbas Kiarostami, honored him for his
many years of contribution to the Iranian Cinema by presenting to him
his best directorial "Kurasava" award at the 44th San Francisco
International Film Festival.
