World sales are being handled by Sublimity Entertainment, which will be presenting the film to international distributors at the Cannes marketplace.

Exclusive: Lionsgate and Grindstone Entertainment have acquired rights to the comedy The Duel, exec produced by and starring Dylan Sprouse (Beautiful Disaster), in North America, as well as all other English-speaking and Latin American territories.
Marking Sprouse’s first project as EP, the film will hit theaters via Lionsgate and Iconic Releasing at the end of July. In support of its release, a number of cast members will be in attendance this weekend at the Indy 500 parade, which will include a car and racing helmets themed to the film. Those expected to attend include Sprouse, Hart Denton (Riverdale), Maria Gabriela de Faria (upcoming Superman), Rachel Matthews (Frozen II) and Christian McGaffney (Simón).

After Lionsgate’s Grindstone Entertainment Group gained the North American rights to Dead Man’s Hand, Stephen Dorff, Jack Kilmer (The Nice Guys), and Cole Hauser Yellowstone) are saddling up for roles in the newly-acquired Western. The film hails from Milestone Studios and, according to Deadline, revolves around a retired gunslinger named Reno (Kilmer), who teams up with a new marshall (Hauser) to take down a cruel cattle baron, Mayor Clarence Bishop (Dorff).

The film tackling the issue of Ptsd in veterans through a female filmmaker’s lens is billed as a road trip story about loss, friendship, perseverance, and the will to carry on.

Grindstone Entertainment Group, which has a distribution partnership with Lionsgate, has acquired North American rights to the Russian animated adventure “My Sweet Monster,” which is scheduled to be released theatrically in Russia by Sony Pictures on Dec. 9.
Worldwide rights are handled by the sales outfit Luminescence, which screened the film for international buyers earlier this year at the Key Buyers Event organized by Russian film promotion body Roskino, and will also screen it during Rome’s Mia market (Oct. 13-17).
The announcement was made by Grindstone president and CEO Barry Brooker, Grindstone partner Stan Wertlieb, and Juraj Barabas, managing director of Luminescence.

Ambi Distribution, the worldwide sales arm of the Ambi Media Group, will be introducing the project to international distributors at the American Film Market, which opened Oct. 31.

World War II thriller “Air Strike” has been canceled after Chinese actress Fan Bingbing went missing amid with tax evasion charges.
According to the Associated Press, “Air Strike” director Xiao Feng posted on his Weibo miniblog on Wednesday that although he worked on the film for eight years, it was “time to let go.”
The thriller (also known as “Unbreakable Spirit” in China) that also stars Bruce Willis and Adrien Brody, was set to have an Oct. 26 release in both China and the United States.

Metrodome International has inked deals on action-adventure The Four Warriors, including a deal with Grindstone Entertainment Group for rights in North America, where Lionsgate Home Entertainment will release.
Deals have also closed with First International Productions for France; Italia Film for the Middle East; Tanweer Enlightenment Corp for Turkey and with Daro Film Distribution for Africa, Albania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and former Yugoslavia.
All deals were negotiated by Caroline Couret-Delègue of Metrodome International.
Directed by Phil Hawkins (The Last Showing) from a script by Christopher Dane, the film tells the story of four battle-weary Crusaders who embark on a mission to track down the evil predator who has abducted all the men and children from a devastated village.
The ensemble cast includes Game of Thrones’ Kristian Nairn along with Christopher Dane, Fergal Philips, Alex Childs, Hadrian Howard and Glenn Speers.

Two weeks before the start of the Sundance Film Festival, one of its highest-profile titles has secured distribution, as Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions will partner on the release of Craig Zobel’s “Z For Zachariah,” which stars Margot Robbie, Chris Pine and Chiwetel Ejiofor, TheWrap has learned.
Grindstone Entertainment will present the sci-fi thriller, which was executive produced by the company’s Barry Brooker and Stan Wertlieb.
