After taking a look back at House II: The Second Story (a favorite of mine since childhood), House of 1000 Corpses (which celebrated its 20th anniversary last year), the awesomeness of Tales from the Crypt Presents: Demon Knight, the leg smashing in the Stephen King adaptation Misery, three separate moments from John Carpenter’s Big Trouble in Little China, the “Jason vs. Tina” battle in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, and the “all hell breaks loose” sequence from the start of Zack Snyder’s Dawn of the Dead remake,

A new episode of The Arrow in the Head Show has just been released, and in this one hosts John “The Arrow” Fallon and Lance Vlcek are revisiting the 1989 body horror sequel The Fly II (watch it Here). To find out what they had to say about this story of a boy becoming a fly – the latest in a long line of people becoming flies in this franchise – check out the video embedded above!
The Fly franchise began with a short story written by George Langelaan. That story served as a basis for a film that was released in 1958 and spawned two sequels: Return of the Fly (1959) and Curse of the Fly (1965). David Cronenberg’s 1986 remake of The Fly is one of the most popular remakes ever made, and it was soon followed by The Fly II. Patti Labelle was rushed off stage in her concert in Milwaukee after a bomb threat forced authorities to evacuate the theatre.
The 78-year-old singer was performing her Christmas concert at the Riverside Theater on Saturday (10 December).
Catherine Brunson, who documented the evacuation on Facebook Live, told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that the evacuation happened two songs into Labelle’s concert around 9.24pm.
“We came out and police had the block taped off. A whole lot of people were pretty upset. It’s scary,” Brunson said.
Scott Pierce, who also attended the concert, said everyone exited the theater calmly, but added that it’s “just sad that someone does this”.
Milwaukee police captain Warren Allen Jr said in a statement on Sunday (11 December) that K9 units searched the theatre and no explosive devices were discovered, so there was no threat to the public.
Labelle is yet to issue a statement over the incident.

Patti Labelle’s concert in Milwaukee Saturday was abruptly halted — and the singer was rushed off the stage mid-performance — after the venue received a bomb threat.
Video from the concert shows Labelle conversing with the crowd when security guards rushed onstage to usher the singer away. “Wait!,” a perplexed Labelle told them before walking offstage. Concertgoers were then informed of the bomb scare, and the Riverside Theater was evacuated without incident.

If you’re a fan of Vin Diesel, or if you’re a fan of the Riddick series. But the question is have you seen all of the movies in the Riddick franchise? If not, don’t worry – we’re here to help. We’ve put together a list of the Riddick movies in order so that you can catch up on this action-packed series before the next one comes out.
Vin Diesel has played the titular character in the Riddick series. The first movie, “Pitch Black,” was released in 2000. The audience loved the film’s unique blend of science fiction and horror.
This success led to a sequel, “The Chronicles of Riddick,” released in 2004. While it didn’t perform as well at the box office as its predecessor, the sequel is still considered a cult classic among fans.

I'm a huge fan of David Cronenberg's 1986 remake of The Fly. To this day is still grosses me out when I watch it. Not a lot of films still have that effect on me. In 1989 a sequel was released, and I didn't really care for it. The movie was directed by special effects artist Chris Wales from a script written by Mick Garris, Jim Wheat, Ken Wheat and Frank Darabont (The Mist, The Walking Dead).
As it turns out, Evil Dead and Spider-Man director Sam Raimi almost directed the film and he wrote a co-wrote a script for it with his brother Ted. I can't help but think a sequel to The Fly directed by Raimi would have been awesome!
This little bit of trivia was recently revealed in the latest episode of the Post Mortem With Mick Garris podcast. Bryan Fuller (American Gods) was a guest on the show.

Humankind’s collision with otherworldly life forms can make for unforgettable cinema.
This article will highlight the best of live-action human vs. alien films. The creatures may be from other planets or may be non-demonic entities from other dimensions.
Excluded from consideration were giant monster films as the diakaiju genre would make a great subject for separate articles.
Readers looking for “friendly alien” films such as The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951), It Came from Outer Space (1953) and the comically overrated Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) are advised to keep watching the skies because they won’t find them here.
Film writing being the game of knowledge filtered through personal taste that it is, some readers’ subgenre favorites might not have made the list such as War of the Worlds (1953) and 20 Million Miles to Earth (1957).
Now let’s take a chronological look at the cinema’s best battles between Us and Them.

Director: David Twohy. Writers: David Twohy, Jim Wheat, Ken Wheat, Oliver Butcher, and Stephen Cornwell. Cast: Vin Diesel, Jordi Mollà, Matt Nable, Katee Sackhoff and Dave Bautista. It has been nine years since actor Vin Diesel has played the character Riddick. The Chronicles of Riddick (2004) was a bolder and bigger story compared to the first film, Pitch Black (2000). Here, in director David Twohy's second sequel, Riddick is a smaller story, in which Riddick returns to his sci-fi and semi-horror roots. The character of Riddick develops very little, but Riddick is still an entertaining sci-fi story, set in a hostile and alien environment. As backstory, the first film, Pitch Black, did not perform spectacularly well in theatres. However, Pitch Black found a home entertainment market, which led to a larger sequel. The Chronicles of Riddick, despite what most critics tell you, was an exceptional film. The scope of story, settings...

The David Twohy sci-fi action thriller also includes Karl Urban, Jordi Mollà, Matt Nable, Katee Sackhoff, Dave Bautista, Bokeem Woodbine, Raoul Trujillo and Nolan Gerard Funk. It has been thirteen years since the first Riddick movie, Pitch Black, was released. This sci-fi series has spawned two sequels and the latest film returns the series to its roots. The anti-hero Riddick (Vin Diesel) is again trapped on a dangerous and desolate planet. And, a second, much longer trailer for the film has been released. The clip shows Riddick hunted by a group of mercenaries. Riddick is eventually captured, but the fortune hunters have other problems on their hands. They must deal with a host of creatures, which attack primarily at night. Will Riddick fight with them against this new enemy, or fight for himself as he has done in the past? As well, Karl Urban will return as the character Vaako. Vaaoko was Riddick's nemesis in the Chronicles of Riddick (2004) and film fans might be able to catch a glimpse of this character in the feature length trailer below.

Freelance writer Dominic Patten is a Deadline contributor About 25 anti-merger SAG members marched in front of the guild’s offices on Wilshire this afternoon, just more than a week before the union votes March 30 on the SAG-aftra tie-up. Noticably absent were the likes of Martin Sheen, Ed Harris and other celebrities who have taken to the courts to stop the vote (a judge is expected to issue an order on an injunction at some point in time). Those who did show up chanted anti-merger slogans and pounded on small drums. ”We want to raise aweness of how this will adversely effect member’s pension plans and health plans,” organizer Scott Pierce told Deadline. Merger supporters were on hand as well. “I know some are opposed to the merger, like the people here today, who we’ve seen out before, but remember people like George Clooney and Tom Hanks are very much for it,...

Some early concept art has been revealed on Vin Diesel's Facebook fan page for a potential third Riddick film. The artwork shows some of the settings from this upcoming film. NBC thought they'd be getting a major hit with this coming fall's new stylized 60s drama, "The Playboy Club." So far, the early returns have mostly involved some major controversy.
Of course, when it comes to TV, the latter often leads to the former.
Starring Eddie Cibrian as a shady yet charming lawyer and Amber Heard as a new employee at the original Chicago Playboy Club, the show is an hourlong drama meant to mimic the style and feel of "Mad Men."
