Hallmark is reviving an iconic franchise with a two-picture deal.
TVLine reports that Signed, Sealed, Delivered is making a surprising comeback to the company almost three years after it last aired.
Eric Mabius (Oliver), Kristin Booth (Shane), Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe (Rita), and Geoff Gustafson (Norman) are all returning for the new movies that will air on Hallmark Mystery.
Signed, Sealed, Delivered initially aired as a TV movie in October 2013 before returning the following year as a weekly TV series.
After one season, the series reverted to movies, which aired sporadically on the cabler.
Signed, Sealed, Delivered: A Tale of Three Letters is on track for a late 2024 premiere and focuses on the team finding the intended recipients of three dead letters.

Dick Van Dyke has been entertaining movie and TV audiences for decades. But did you know that the star of The Dick Van Dyke Show and Mary Poppins almost had a role in a Hallmark Channel TV series? The actor was supposed to appear in Signed, Sealed, Delivered. However, a health scare forced him to back out of the project.

These days, Signed, Sealed, Delivered is a long-running movie series for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. But it got its start as a TV show, which aired for one season on Hallmark Channel in 2014.

The wait is nearly over for fans of the Signed, Sealed & Delivered movies. Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has announced that the long-awaited 11th movie in the series is coming this fall.
Created by Martha Williamson, Signed, Sealed, Delivered revolves around four postal workers -- Oliver O'Toole (Eric Mabius), Shane McInerney (Kristin Booth), Rita Haywith-Dorman (Crystal Lowe), and Norman Xavier Dorman (Geoff Gustafson). The foursome act as detectives and track down the intended recipients of often long-overdue undeliverable mail. Their missions take them into unpredictable stories where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves, and change futures. The mail arrives late but somehow, it's on time.

It seems that we haven't seen the last of the POstables. Hallmark Channel has announced that the cable channel is developing a new Signed, Sealed, Delivered movie. A timetable for the new project has not been released.
As Signed, Sealed, Delivered fans know, the franchise began as a two-hour movie in 2013. It did well enough for Hallmark to order a 10 episode TV series which aired in 2014. Rather than continue as a weekly show, Hallmark opted to go back to the movie format and, to date, has aired 11 two-hour films.

On Saturday (Oct. 12), Hallmark Channel premieres the movie-length pilot "Signed, Sealed, Delivered," which has received a 10-episode series order, probably to air in 2014.
Created by Martha Williamson ("Touched by an Angel"), it focuses on Oliver (Eric Mabius, "Ugly Betty"), the head of a team at the U.S. Post Office's Dead Letter Office, who has taken on the task of being a lost-mail detective to make sure that undeliverable letters and packages make it their rightful recipients.
Along the way, the team saves lives, solves crimes, reunites old loves and changes futures. Helping the handsome, idiosyncratic Oliver -- who believes a snail-mail letter is the gold standard of human communication -- is free-spirited Rita (Crystal Lowe), intuitive Norman (Geoff Gustafson), and no-nonsense technophile Shane (Kristin Booth, "The Kennedys").

Talk about timing. Executives, producers and sundry others who work for News Corp. and 20th Century Fox gathered on the Fox lot Thursday afternoon for a seminar on the content of television and films and where the line should be drawn on sex, violence and salty language. Sources said that plans for the gathering, spearheaded by News Corp. president Peter Chernin, had been in the works for several months and thus it was only an ironic coincidence that the group-think session took place only a few days after Janet Jackson ignited a national debate about broadcast indecency with her breast-baring moment during the Super Bowl halftime show. Reps for Fox declined comment, but sources said the five-hour meeting included a keynote speech from FCC commissioner Kathleen Abernathy and a panel session with McG, Martha Williamson and Barbara Hall and other writer-producers. In addition to a few hundred Fox/News Corp. staffers, notables in attendance included Fox News host Greta Van Susteren, media watchdog L. Brent Bozell and Universal Television Prods. president David Kissinger.
