- Played the drum part on Frederick Knight's hit, "I've Been Lonely For So Long," 1971, with Bill Pinkney and The Drifters, 1972-77. Originally auditioned for The Temptations in 1977, after Dennis Edwards left, but was passed over in favor of Louis Price. Finally brought in to the group in 1983 after Edwards' second departure.
