WWE Hall of Famer “Luscious” Johnny Valiant died Wednesday in Pittsburgh after being hit by a pickup truck. He was 71.
Valiant was crossing the road in his hometown when he was struck by the truck, Det. Brian Kohlhepp of the Ross Police Department told TheWrap Thursday. Kohlhepp noted the incident occurred just before 5:30 a.m. and it was therefore dark at the time Valiant was hit by the vehicle.
The wrestler was taken to Allegheny General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
