Controversial author Salman Rushdie still pines for his ex-wife Padma Lakshmi two years after they split, according to his former girlfriend, actress Pia Glenn.
The writer wed model-turned-tv chef Lakshmi in 2004 but the couple filed for divorce in July 2007.
Both stars have since moved on with their love lives - Lakshmi is now pregnant with her first child, while Rushdie has enjoyed a romance with Broadway star Glenn.
But Rushdie dumped Glenn in June after more than a year of dating - because he is still obsessed with the Indian beauty.
Glenn says, "He would talk about Padma day and night. He felt hurt and betrayed by her. He would talk about her so much I'd ask him to stop.
"We had a few fights, and he would get angry and it would be difficult to calm him down."
Rushdie, who made Lakshmi his fourth wife, has declined to comment on his ex's claims.
