Four years after his shock return to WWE, Brock Lesnar has been steadily built up into the most unstoppable monster in professional wrestling… maybe in professional wrestling history.
What are the points of comparison? Bruiser Brody was bigger and more unhinged, and Big Van Vader was just as horribly violent, but both men were capable of losing a singles match to the right opponent. Abdullah The Butcher was a gruesome sideshow attraction, and no matter how overwhelmingly monstrous Umaga seemed, he was only created to be fed to John Cena.
Well, Lesnar lost to Cena too – in his first match back in the company in 2012 – and then he came back and ate him alive at SummerSlam 2014 for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, causing impromptu conga lines to break out in the homes of wrestling fans worldwide.
Following that win, fans began to cheer for the vicious, unholy heel more often than not,...

Retired British wrestler Tom ‘Dynamite Kid’ Billington remains in hospital after suffering a stroke, and is said to be in “very serious” condition according to Wrestling Observer Radio.
The former Tag Team Champion spent four years in WWF alongside Davey Boy Smith, wrestling as The British Bulldogs. The pair feuded with teams such as the Hart Foundation and the Rougeaus from 1984-88. Billington’s unique style, mixing old-school British wrestling with groundbreaking Japanese manoeuvres, inspired a generation of technicians. He has even been described by Bret Hart as the best wrestler ever seen.
Billington was reportedly admitted to hospital six weeks ago, and although his speech has improved since then, his physical condition is said to have seriously worsened. Won also reports that, at one stage of his ongoing hospitlisation, he believed himself to be in the ring, calling spots with Abdullah The Butcher.

WWE Studios and Film Roman will co-finance and co-produce up to 13 three-minute webisodes of the new animated series entitled Camp WWE. Mike Benson, whose credits include Entourage and The Bernie Mac Show, will script them. The comedy is adult-themed, like Film Roman’s The Simpsons and King Of The Hill and covers the formative years of WWE stars, whose misbehavior prompts their parents to send them off to Camp WWE to be turned into model citizens by feared counselor Vince McMahon. That seems to be grounds for comedy, right? Actually, the grapplers are pretty calm offstage. Once at Newsday, I had the pleasure of having a late night dinner at the Carnegie Deli with Abdullah The Butcher, Ivan Putski and several others after their match. Despite that you could see the lumps and bumps and the spots where they routinely cut their scalps to bleed and make the pretend violence look more believable,...

WWE asked for and got fan input to determine the content of “The 25 Greatest Rivalries” Blu-ray and DVD, and, unlike the weekly Twitter/WWE App votes on Raw which most of us net fans suspect are rigged, fan input clearly shows in the final cut. Granted there are classic feuds I personally wish had made the cut, but as a wrestling fan since I was 10, I’m overall very happy and legitimately surprised by not only the feuds that Do appear, but the order they’re in.
A couple years ago when the ‘E released their “50 Greatest Superstars Of All Time” DVD, a lot of us fans in the Iwc, (Internet Wrestling Community for the uninitiated), accused the doc of being blatantly skewed to stars who were either currently with the E, or had predominantly been mostly with the E, throwing in a few token guys who weren’t really WWE guys.
