The Killer is a South Korean action thriller movie directed by Jae-Hoon Choi. It stars Jang Hyuk yu.
Merciless action.
Premise
A retired hitman whose wife goes on a trip with her friend, and asks him to look after the friend’s teenage daughter. Things go awry when he is forced to use a little violence to protect the girl from juvenile delinquents, but then they are found dead and the girl is kidnapped.
About the Movie
A “recipe” that worked well – very well – a few years back, and that, applying the same premise and an almost identical character, keeps on repeating itself movie after movie. The elements are there, with the good action sequences, the heroic character, but it not new. However, of what you seek if just raw action this might be to your liking.

"A fortress on the sea? Nonsense!" Well Go USA has revealed an official teaser trailer for Hansan: Rising Dragon, a Korean historical epic action movie arriving in theaters this July (both in Korea and in the US). The film is technically a follow-up to 2014's The Admiral: Roaring Currents, which explores the historic Battle of Hansan Island. This new film depicts the historical Battle of Hansan, which took place five years before Battle of Myeongnyang depicted in The Admiral, the first full-scale war with the Japanese army since the Japanese invasion of Korea from 1592 to 1598. The main cast includes Park Hae-il, Byun Yo-han, Ahn Seong-gi, Son Hyun-joo, Kim Sung-kyu, Kim Sung-kyun, Kim Hyang-gi, and Ok Taec-yeon. This is only just a teaser, and barely has 45 seconds of footage, but it still looks like an entertaining Korean blockbuster. Curious to see more from this one - it might be an amazing big screen experience!

*full disclosure: a DVD screener of this film was provided by Ram Releasing. Director/writer: Jung Huh. Cast: Mi-seon Jeon, Jung-Hee Moon and Hyeon-ju Son. Hide and Seek is a Korean horror and thriller film from director Jung Huh. This film is more than just these two genres, though. It is also a mystery. A motorcycle helmet wearing killer is making a poor neighbour, in a run down apartment block. But, this film is not a simple slasher. Instead, Hide and Seek blends a couple of plotlines together in an intriguing fashion. Hide and Seek is one of the best Asian films this reviewer has seen in quite awhile. The film begins with a sideplot. A woman is tracked and attacked in an early scene. Then, the film begins a second, more central plot. Seong-soo (Hyeon-ju Son) is searching for his brother, who has recently gone missing. A friendly neighbour...
