The wait for GTA 6 is like falling into a black hole. The closer we get to the date; the longer time seems to stretch. Rockstar Games is lauded for their stories, locations, and surprise encounters, and some make recurring appearances in subsequent titles.
One such location is Mount Chiliad, first shown in San Andreas and then in GTA 5. Exploring this location at night will set anyone on edge, especially given the ghostly apparition in the fifth game. Rockstar is no stranger to adding otherworldly elements to their titles, and the Red Dead Redemption games feature one of the most enigmatic and unsettling NPCs in any game from the studio.
The Strange Man: A Chance Encounter or Fateful Meeting? The Strange Man greets John as an old friend.
It all begins with Red Dead Redemption. While riding around the vast open prairies as John Marston, you will come upon a stranger mission titled ‘I Know You.

With Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Daniel Destin Cretton no longer attached to Avengers 5, he's been able to focus on Disney+'s upcoming Wonder Man series.
While the show has never been "officially" announced by Marvel Studios, we have a new update from Variety. In a piece addressing the decision to bring back the "Marvel Television" label to better differentiate big and small screen stories, the trade confirms that Wonder Man will fall under the "Marvel Spotlight" banner Echo debuted with in January.
That's meant for one-off, character-driven TV shows which can serve as standalone projects with fewer connections to the wider MCU. However, with Echo, that decision seems to have been made relatively last-minute seeing as it set the stage for Daredevil: Born Again.

How many millions of records have you sold? If you're Jessica Simpson, that number is well over 20 million. If you're not Jessica Simpson — and you're not, like, Elton John or one of those guys from Aerosmith — that number is probably a heck of a lot less. At the turn of the century, thanks to hit singles like "I Wanna Love You Forever" and her reality TV series "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica," Jessica Simpson was one of the most famous human beings in the entire world. And she's still really darned famous.
And like most singers who break into the popular zeitgeist, Simpson has also tried her hand at acting. She's probably best known on the big screen for playing the role of Daisy Duke in the 2005 "Dukes of Hazzard" movie, or at least for her cover of "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" from the soundtrack. She also did a...

On his final night alive, ramen chef Timmy Lee (Bobby Lee) goes on an unintended late-night odyssey with the Grim Reaper (Matt Jones). They share a bowl of noodles and discover what it means to be human.
“Death and Ramen” review is part of the Submit Your Film Initiative
Overall, “Death and Ramen” serves itself nicely as a really intriguing short with a lot to like about it. The central premise from director Ji is appropriately goofy and silly, with the accidental meeting between the two and how that leads to Timmy's obsession over preparing the perfect meal. This serves to introduce the few bits of comedic slapstick involving the desperation to escape from Death's grip, as the two engage in a slight but energetic battle to help the reality of what happened to Timmy sink in, as what's going on prepares him for the second half that drives...

‘Thor: Love & Thunder’ marks the latest addition to the ‘Thor’ film series, showcasing Thor’s comeback post-‘Endgame’ alongside a diverse cast of characters, including a well-known comic villain. Despite its anticipation, the movie fell short of expectations due to awkward humor and an underutilized storyline.
However, a standout element emerged with Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor, whose poignant journey battling Gorr the God Butcher took a tragic turn, culminating in her death and entrance into Valhalla. Now, reliable leaker and The Cosmic Circus writer Alex P. hints at Jane’s potential return on X.

‘Thor: Love & Thunder’ is the latest installment in the ‘Thor’ movie series. Despite the movie featuring the grand return of Thor following ‘Endgame’ and a grand cast of characters, including a fairly-known villain from the comics, the movie wasn’t as successful as it was hoped, mostly due to its cringy humor and waste of a potentially magnificent storyline.
Still, one good thing came out of the movie, and that was Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor. As a reminder, Jane is sick with cancer, and in a last-ditch attempt to save her life, she starts wielding Mjolnir but gets more than she bargained for as she goes on on an epic adventure with Thor battling against Gorr the God Butcher, who has beef to settle with pretty much every god in the universe. But, the movie doesn’t have a cheery ending as its overall atmosphere seems to be,...

Netflix is one such platform that doesn’t shy away from any sort of content. Whether it be a feature film from the remotest part of the world or a short film that is well made, just so long as there is a hint of a vision. Two new short films have been dropped on Netflix titled Flashback and Disco Inferno that might interest horror fans. Both short films evoke a strong sense of the supernatural, one even dealing with a bit of a sci-fi time travel scheme. Short films usually work when there is a strong idea at the core or two thoughts or styles are pitted against each other to create a polarity that is engaging for that short amount of time. Flashback, with its idea of changing the past while one is literally dying, is fantastical, but with its naivety, it becomes endearing. Disco Inferno pits the...

One of the highly anticipated projects in the MCU that had fans buzzing was ‘Wonder Man.’ It’s a Hollywood satire with Williams portraying an actor-turned-superhero in Tinseltown. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is set to star as Simon Williams (Wonder Man), alongside Ben Kingsley, Demetrius Grosse, and Ed Harris. However, recent rumors, sparked by Joanna Robinson on ‘The Watch’ podcast suggest that ‘Wonder Man’ is on the verge of cancellation.
This isn’t entirely surprising, given that many MCU projects are at risk of significant reworking. The most recent shock came with the announcement that ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ would undergo major changes because the studio deemed the original concept dull. Instead of sticking to the comic material, the writers are shifting towards a procedural legal drama, focusing on Matt as he takes on a group of rogue policemen.
As for ‘Wonder Man,’ details about the project were scarce, and Joanna claimed...

It’s hard to convey how much of a game changer Vampire Survivors is on Nintendo Switch. The roguelike game has quickly made its way to numerous platforms to various levels of success, but today I’ll be taking a look at the newly released Switch version.
For the uninitiated, Vampire Survivors is where players take on the role of various characters inspired by archetypes of Castlevania characters. From there they’re put into an endless gauntlet of survival against non-stop enemies. Players don’t need to hit a button to attack as characters automatically attack; instead they’re tasked with focusing on positioning and picking up Xp gems that allow their heroes to be equipped with more weapons and stat boosting items.
The creatures players will face include bats, skeletons, zombies, demonic plants, and various other monsters that take obvious inspiration from the Castlevania series. After about 30 minutes of battle,...

Between "Only Murders in the Building" and "Selena + Chef" on Max, Selena Gomez has understandably put making music on a bit of hold - until now, that is. On Aug. 25, the 31-year-old singer released her newest single, "Single Soon," a summery pop song that fans are already praising for its fun beat and empowering lyrics.
Gomez announced the song drop a full week before its release via Instagram, noting that fans have been wanting new music for some time. "Y'all have been asking for new music for a while," she wrote. "Since I'm not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that's perfect for the end of summer. Single Soon. August 25th. Presave it now.

Miss Minnie Bouvèé (Eric Swanson) is no stranger to death, but as New Orleans’ Mob Queen of the Quarter, usually she’s the one wielding the Grim Reaper’s scythe instead of being on the receiving end of its unforgiving blade. With a sinister masked admirer leaving ominous reminders of a dark moment from Minnie’s past, however, she can’t seem to get out of death’s shadow lately, especially with rival mob boss Poodles Makenzie (Jennifer McClain) seeking revenge for a recent lethal hit on her crew. And if that weren’t enough to keep Minnie’s mind spinning, she’s also dealing with the resurgent affections of her ex, Jackson Truvé (Matthew Darren), who was once the love of her life… up until the day he ran away with her sister, Mimi Bouvèé-Truvé (Benjamin Shaevitz), who also happens to be back in Minnie’s life with her own enigmatic intentions.

DreamWorks Animation is committing to “subverting the hero’s journey,” said president Margie Cohn at Annecy, introducing “Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken” and “Orion and the Dark.”
One of the big U.S. world premieres at Annecy, the world’s biggest animation festival, “Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken” featured at a DreamWorks Animation studio focus at Annecy, the world’s biggest animation festival.
“DreamWorks has a long tradition of taking an unlikely hero, like a chubby panda or an ogre with a heart of gold, and subverting your expectations. We will take what you think might be an evil sea monster and convince you she is actually the hero,” “Ruby Gillman” producer, Kelly Cooney Cilella, added.
Commenting also on the company’s long list of strong female characters, from Princess Fiona to Princess Poppy from “Trolls, she added that “We think Ruby is next. And this time, she is in the title.

This post contains spoilers for "Succession" season 4, episode 9, "Church and State."
Few things are harder to write than a eulogy. How do you even begin to sum up a person's life? How much do you share without making a speech about yourself instead of the deceased? On the latest episode of "Succession," the Roy siblings confronted these questions when they attended the funeral of their father Logan (Brian Cox).
Connor (Alan Ruck), who oversaw the funeral, has been pressing his siblings on who would be the speaker. In the end, all three of them were, plus their grumpy uncle: Logan's brother, Ewan (James Cromwell). Connor also wrote something himself, but he was ultimately barred from delivering it. We didn't get a glimpse at what he wrote, but apparently, his speech was too long and "legally actionable." Being the only sibling who doesn't say anything at Logan's funeral is a fitting...

Spoiler Alert: This article contains details of Sunday’s episode of Succession. So stop right now if you don’t want to know what went down.
“Today’s the day,” says Logan Roy in tonight’s truly shocking and yet so-expected episode of Succession. “Strategic refocus,” barks the media mogul played by Brian Cox to son-in-law and chief sycophant Tom Wambsgans (Matthew Macfadyen) as they board a private jet to seal a multibillion-dollar sale to streaming kingpin Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård) and rebuild their empire.
That refocus by the self-professed corporate pirate takes a very different turn when Logan drops dead on the plane. “My suspicion is that it won’t be the kids,” declares Cox of who will ultimately end up being Logan’s successor in the final seven episodes of the fourth and final season of the Emmy-winning HBO drama series. “I think that they will get locked out.

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Succession” Season 4, Episode 3, “Connor’s Wedding.”]
Death has hovered over “Succession” since the pilot, when the stroke Logan (Brian Cox) suffers also sparks his kids’ first fight for control of his empire. But the Grim Reaper has loomed in the shadows of Season 4’s opening episodes, as well. During a routine jab at Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Roman (Kieran Culkin) jokes about what happens to Buddhists when they die. Amid last week’s “needy love sponge” speech, Connor (Alan Ruck) describes himself as a plant that can only live off the insects that perish inside him. One could also argue we’re witnessing the death of a marriage, between Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) and Shiv, as well as the death of a company, as Waystar-Royco prepares to be absorbed by GoJo.
Perhaps the sale, which marks the end of Logan’s lifelong ambition, should have tipped us off to his impending passing.

Rumor has it that Bo killed Kate.
After she pressed him to remember who he was on Days of Our Lives during the week of 3-20-23, Kate dared Bo to shoot her, and Megan and Rolf both say she's dead.
If Kate's really dead this time, that's a hell of a way for this legacy character to go out! But could she have had another miraculous victory over the Grim Reaper?
Kate's cheated death several times before. This woman crawled from the park to the hospital after Vivian left her for dead.
She's as strong-willed as she is fearless, and so far, we haven't been given any proof that Bo killed her besides Megan and Rolf's say-so. Even Bo's flashback didn't show Kate getting shot, only Bo's gun going off.

He’s also left his mark on horror. Let’s take a look at the many roles he’s played in the genre, shall we? Excellent! *Air guitar solo* Reading this entire article in Keanu’s voice in your head will increase the entertainment value exponentially. I promise.

Director Andrew Dominik has a new film headed to select theaters, "Blonde," which will walk down the red carpet to Netflix a week from today to become the first Nc-17 streaming film ever released. "Blonde" has earned praise for its central Ana de Armas performance, but it's already proving as divisive as Dominik's last non-documentary film, "Killing Them Softly," starring Brad Pitt.
That movie came out ten years ago, while Dominik's filmography dates back even further to 2000 when he made his directorial debut with the Eric Bana-led "Chopper." There was a seven-year gap separating "Chopper" from Dominik's next effort, but his sophomore film was well worth the wait, and it happens to be commemorating its 15th anniversary today.
"Blonde" deals with celebrity and revisionist history — two narrative forces at work in "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford," which remains not only Dominik's best film...

Ever since three of its key members died or retired in Avengers: Endgame, MCU fans have all had the same question: who even are the Avengers anymore? MCU chief Kevin Feige has been pretty tight-lipped about when we’ll see the next lineup or who’s in consideration, but a mainstay of the comic book team will be making his way to live-action soon. Wonder Man is currently in production for Disney+, a show about ionic-powered superhero Simon Williams.
Largely unknown to non-comics readers, Wonder Man is one of Marvel’s most interesting characters; a guy with a convoluted history, even by superhero standards. There are many different types of stories that creators can tell with Wondie, but the recent news that Ben Kingsley will be reprising his role as Trevor Slattery gives us a pretty good idea about the type of show Wonder Man seeks to be.

When I was in college, a professor of mine credited two films with birthing modern European arthouse cinema: Federico Fellini's "8 1/2" and Ingmar Bergman's "The Seventh Seal." Their black-and-white cinematography aside, the two movies couldn't be more different from one another. Where Fellini's meta-fictional comedy is a series of relentlessly moving images full of zest and zeal, Bergman's historical drama is a somber period piece, his camera typically static as it fixates on the faces of the film's weary travelers. "8 1/2" is a surreal celebration of life in all its disorder; "The Seventh Seal" is a dour meditation on the existential conundrum of religious faith.
Yes, I just quoted the Swedish Chef from "Muppets Most Wanted." I only steal from the best, after all.
