Marvel Comics has announced that Storm is set to become Earth's Mightiest Mutant in the pages of Avengers #17 this August. Ororo Munroe will join the team in Jed MacKay's current run of the series, with artist Valerio Schiti, fresh off his bold work on G.O.D.S., also joining the title.
Krakoa's tragic fall has made the Avengers realize how vital a mutant voice on the team is, and they'll settle for nothing less than the most prominent and beloved mutant superhero on the planet. A pop culture icon, Storm has assembled with the Avengers before - in both comics as well as other forms of media - but never like this.
Not only will the Avengers need her Omega-level power for the battles ahead, but they'll rely on her unique expertise and leadership skills as MacKay's overarching plots involving Kang, the Twilight Court, and more kick into high gear.

Exclusive: A week after veteran talent agent Jed Abrahams resigned as Kmr Talent’s SVP and head of the agency’s New York office, he has joined Los Angeles-based management and production company The Rosenzweig Group (aka The Rose Group) as a talent manager. He will open and head an office in New York, making The Rosenzweig Group — founded in 2018 by Marni Rosenzweig — officially bicoastal.
After a brief career as an actor, Abrahams transitioned to talent representation, spending the past two decades as an agent. He started at Henderson/Hogan Agency, Stewart Talent and The Talent House before his 10-year run as SVP and Head of New York at Kmr Talent.
Clients joining Abrahams at The Rosenzweig Group include Broadway actors Eden Espinosa (Lempicka), Tony nominee Robyn Hurder (Chicago), and Kecia Lewis, currently starring in Alicia Keys’ musical Hell’s Kitchen. Also joining Abrahams at Trg is Aaron Serotsky and Jay Wilkison (Younger), a series regular on the upcoming Amazon series Clean Slate.
“After 20 years of agenting, I am thrilled to discover a newfound passion and excitement, as I begin to zoom in and have a more hands-on approach to a small, select list of uniquely talented artists,” Abrahams said. “When presented the opportunity to join forces with Marni Rosenzweig, I was over the moon at the prospect of collaborating with an undeniably seasoned and accomplished manager, leader of such a respected company.”
The Rosenzweig Group clients include Alex Borstein, Sandra Bernhard, Miranda Rae Mayo, Patrick J. Adams and Glynn Turman among others.
“Jed is the perfect fit for our company,” Rosenzweig said. “He is a well-respected, veteran talent agent who will excel as a manager. His work ethic and passion for actors and all creatives is unparalleled and we are excited to welcome his impressive clients to our now bicoastal company.”
Kmr Talent’s March 22 move to suspend its SAG-AFTRA franchise has triggered an exodus of agents who have since joined other companies or opened their own shops.

The 1962 sitcom "The Beverly Hillbillies" was the first in show creator Paul Henning's unofficial Hooterville Trilogy, a triune that also included 1963's "Petticoat Junction," and 1965's "Green Acres." These three shows were among the most popular of their time and reflected a cultural clash between a growing class of cosmopolitan urbanites and "down home" rural Americans. Working thematically backward, "Green Acres" was about a pair of New Yorkers who move onto a farm, "Petticoat Junction" was about rural hotel owners who often butted heads with a rich railroad executive, and "The Beverly Hillbillies" was about rural characters moving to Beverly Hills. The Hooterville Trilogy was as sure a sign as any that schisms were forming in American society, and Henning was eager to address the injustice of the class divides, often sympathizing with his hillbillies and lambasting the wealthy.

The Hooterville Trilogy was as sure a sign as any that schisms were forming in American society, and Henning was eager to address the injustice of the class divides, often sympathizing with his hillbillies and lambasting the wealthy.

Exclusive: The fallout from Kmr Talent’s growing problems with client payment that culminated with the agency on Friday suspending its SAG-AFTRA franchise, continues.

“My beloved NY colleagues and I stand together in our profound disappointment and melancholy,” he wrote in the email. “It has been demoralizing as we powerlessly watched the unfolding of recent events and the consequent challenges now confronting so many we treasure.”
Kmr owner and President Mark Measures on Friday sent a letter to SAG-AFTRA, informing them of the decision to inactive the agency’s franchise. The move, which would not allow any guild member to work with Kmr agents during the suspension,...

No Way Up is a gripping survival thriller that takes viewers through the chaotic aftermath of a plane crash. With a journey to Cabo turning into a nightmare, the characters find themselves in a desperate struggle against nature, facing the daunting challenge of surviving in the harsh environment of the Pacific Ocean. Claudio Fäh’s action thriller film skillfully portrays the intense struggle of the survivors as they battle to keep their heads above water amidst the plane wreckage and constant shark attacks. With each passing moment, the air reduces and the risks escalate, challenging the characters to their core and putting their determination to survive to the ultimate test.
Although No Way Up impresses with its intense thrills and gripping scenes, some viewers might feel a thirst for more insight into the characters’ survival skills. While the beginning of the film hints at the psychological toll of facing extreme challenges,...

The poster for No Way Up says that it’s from the executive producers of the 47 Meters Down series. That’s not a good sign because it means it’s from the money men behind those films, not the writers, directors or any of the creative types. This time around, they’ve decided to offer their finny cash cows an all-you-can-eat buffet and, taking a cue from Airport 77, they’ve crashed an airliner into the Pacific. That leaves the survivors trapped on the ocean floor in a rapidly shrinking air pocket and surrounded by sharks.
As No Way Up starts things are already looking bad for Jed and Kyle. Kyle’s date for their trip to Cabo backed out at the last minute.

Rarely do movies make me speechless, and I have watched a lot of movies. Some of them have been the greatest things that my eyes have seen, while others have made me feel like I might require an eye-bleach. The last time a movie made me question my decisions was when I watched Sandeep Vanga’s Animal. “Never Again!” I thought to myself, but a week or so later, I’ve had to watch Gods of the Deep. Recently, a friend of mine told me to keep an open mind while indulging in this passion, especially with films I do not think highly of. So, I admitted my bias and proceeded to watch this horror flick. Understandably, the horror genre isn’t really known for its dexterity, but this one is just hilarious. I would prefer to think this was the intention, but I am not entirely sure it is.

Pet Sematary has been sequelized, rebooted, and now with the arrival of Pet Sematary: Bloodlines it has a prequel. Adapting Stephen King’s works for the screen is a risky enough proposition, creating new stories based on them even more so as anyone whose seen a few Children of the Corn sequels or reboots can attest. King himself however seems to be happy with this film and tweeted:
“In the book, this is the story Jud Crandall tells Louis Creed to try and dissuade him from using the Pet Sematary,” wrote King. “The screenplay takes a few liberties, but it’s a fine story. David Duchovny is excellent. The secret, as always, is caring about the characters.”

Boundaries is a family drama that deals with the classic dysfunctional family dynamics and every member coming to terms with each other as reality hits them. This is the story of a daughter who is trying to keep a safe distance from her father, who was absent during her childhood days. They end up on a journey that could either make them closer as a father and daughter or lead to their relationship falling apart. Several films in this category help people understand that families aren’t perfect. The Descendants, Knives Out, Little Miss Sunshine, and Kramer vs. Kramer are some examples of family dramas dealing with dysfunctionality as a core subject.

From its opening landscape shot of a forest complete with moody voice on top, The Retaliators looks very good indeed. There is definitely an energy reminiscent of a heavy metal music video here, in both sound and visuals, but it works well with the theme and the tone of the movie. Directed by Samuel Gonzalez Jr. and Bridget Smith and penned by the team of Darren Geare and Jeff Allen Geare, this is a good old revenge flick and boy-oh-boy do I enjoy a revenge flick.
There is something very bitterly precise about this, something that looks you in the eye and doesn’t look away, a solid sledgehammer to the face in the guise of vengeance.

What came first the chicken or the egg? Yea about that. All we get is in return is more rabbit holes, but how about we decipher this in film terms. It’s another showdown, and with that comes deciding on if the imitator does it better than the originator. Even though prior rip-off segments discussed very similar components between the two, this upcoming showdown is just a down-right spitting image of one another. One of those films is based off a global best-selling video game and has created a massive following. Who doesn’t love a good rags-to-riches story? In 1962, CBS struck gold with The Beverly Hillbillies, a sitcom about a backwoods family who packed up and moved from the Ozarks to California after finding oil on their land. Jed Clampett and his colorful relatives quickly became iconic TV characters and are still loved by fans more than 60 years after the show premiered. Given that it’s been decades since the show aired, most of the cast is no longer with us. However, one Beverly Hillbillies cast member – Max Baer Jr. – is still living in 2023.
Max Baer Jr. played Jethro Bodine on ‘The Beverly Hillbillies’
Baer played Jethro Bodine on The Beverly Hillbillies. The character is the cousin of the Clampett family patriarch Jed (Buddy Ebsen). He moves with his family from Missouri to California after they strike it rich. He’s excited about his new life in Beverly Hills, but...

Days after Jill Dillard sat down to discuss her life and experiences with several media outlets, Joy-Anna Forsyth uploaded a family vacation video. While most of the Duggar family attended the beach trip, Jill, her husband, Derick Dillard, and their children, Israel, Samuel, and Frederick Dillard, were noticeably absent. Interestingly, Jill Dillard discussed how some of her siblings were in her corner while others were keeping their distance during her most recent round of interviews. She won’t reveal which siblings have supported, though, for the most part.
Jill Dillard is keeping her siblings’ stories secret
Jill Dillard might be the rebel of the Duggar family, but she does have the support of some of her siblings. During an interview with CNN, Jill spoke about how going against her father, Jim Bob Duggar, has led to strained relationships between the Duggar siblings. She said that while not everyone supports her,...
