Stars: Jim Gordon, Jake Foy, Chrissy Cavallo, Nick Twist, Ilene Sullivan, John Evans | Written and Directed by Anthony Catanese
Prior to an impending golf tournament, a struggling golf course is beset by a string of caddy murders from pesticide-mutated gophers. The latest film from writer/director Anthony Catanese crosses Caddyshack with a monster movie, intending for a horror flick that will leave viewers laughing yet instead feels created title-first and worked backwards.
Intending to keep his golf course running by covering up the carnage is owner Wells Landon (Jim Gordon), who is an evident stand-in for Trump. As he talks about his tiny hands, wears an awful wig, and lusts after a young female relative, this is a very heavy-handed inclusion. Between bullied caddie Googie (Jake Foy) and dim-witted groundskeeper Hambone (Nick Twist), nobody on-screen resembles an actual person, although calling them cartoons would be insulting to an already undervalued medium.

Catanese, the cult indie director of Girls Just Wanna Have Blood and Sodomaniac, writes and directs the film which sees a struggling golf course suffers a string of caddy murders at the paws of pesticide-mutated gofers, while the greedy owner of the facility tries to cover up the carnage and an unhinged groundkeeper wages all out war on the vicious vermin.
Jim Gordon, Jake Foy, Chrissy Cavallo, Nick Twist, Ilene Sullivan, and John Evans are among the cast of the crazy horror-comedy – best described as Caddyshack by way of Gremlins! Check out the trailer and poster below:...

2023 marks the forty-third anniversary of the release of the comedy classic Caddyshack, which starred Rodney Dangerfield, Chevy Chase, and Bill Murray as characters who spend a lot of time at a country club that has a bit of a gopher problem. The mischievous, dancing gopher (and Chase) returned for a less-well-regarded sequel eight years later… and now writer/director Anthony Catanese is putting a horror twist on the concept with Caddy Hack! A trailer for the film can be seen in the embed above.
Caddy Hack will be premiering at Kevin Smith’s Smodcastle theatre in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey on August 11th. A Blu-ray, DVD, and digital release will follow in October, courtesy of Wild Eye Releasing.

"I can't have my members playing through a dead caddy!" These pesky little critters! Wild Eye Releasing has unveiled an official trailer for Caddy Hack - a wacky, super low budget horror comedy creation from filmmaker Anthony Catanese. It's premiering at Kevin Smith's Smodcastle theater in Atlantic Highlands, NJ this August before a direct-to-vod release in the fall. This is described as a mash-up between Caddyshack and Gremlins, which sounds like good fun. The film follows a struggling golf course that suffers a string of caddy murders at the paws of pesticide-mutated gofers, while the greedy owner of the facility tries to cover up the carnage and an unhinged groundkeeper wages all-out war on the vicious little vermin. Starring Jim Gordon, Jake Foy, Chrissy Cavallo, Nick Twist, Ilene Sullivan, and John Evans. Yeah, this looks so ridiculous and cheap and hilariously dumb that it might be crazy fun to watch.

“The only positive thing about you is your HIV status.”
As one would naturally expect, Girls Just Wanna Have Blood opens with a deadly bite of sickly sleaze, but is yet accompanied (and quite often too) with a killer rock soundtrack… almost Giallo-esque. The biters? Trish (Destyne Marshai), April (Penny Praline) and Stacy (Gigi Gustin) – they use seduction to gain the attention of their victims. Essentially, they are the sleazed-up, youthful version of the Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus, but vampires instead of witches . If anything serious can be read in this film or taken from it, it is the concept of family and the theme of belonging is ever present. For the unfortunate Jessica (Amanda Renee), the opportunity to belong is exactly how the vampiric...

"Do you think you can handle us? All three of us?" Wild Eye Releasing has debuted an official trailer for an indie horror comedy titled Girls Just Wanna Have Blood, which is too obvious of a name to actually be clever. Described as a "bloody and unique new addition to the vampire-pic subsection", the film is the latest from filmmaker Anthony Cantanese. When Jessica is accepted by a trio of fun loving vampires, she finds herself thrust into a lifestyle full of long nights, sex-crazed bikers, and blood suckin' galore. It should not surprise anyone this is headed straight-to-vod this summer, barely looks like a B-movie. Girls Just Wanna Have Blood stars Amanda Renee, Bettina Skye, David M. Sitbon, Kirk Ponton, and Gigi Gustin. I don't know how these films get made or who they're for, but it exists, and it's available to view soon anyway. Here's the first trailer...

I’m a longtime fan of horror anthology films. I think it goes back to my love of short fiction, something I still really love to this day, and being able to get a snapshot of a story, a quick, often deliberate, sometimes hectic, slice of the chosen genre. Horror is a genre I’ve had a extended love affair with, and so mixing those two things together is a big plus for me. Released by Wild Eye Releasing, Hi-Death brings five new stories with it, each one different in tone, style and,...
