The “Chrysalis Night In” virtual fundraiser paid tribute to Broadway star Nick Cordero on Thursday night.
It was just two days before that the Tony-nominated actor woke up from a medically induced coma after complications from his battle with Covid-19.
The Chrysalis benefit was co-hosted by Zach Braff, who got emotional while talking about his best friend Cordero’s journey, while introducing a performance by the Los Angeles cast of “Rock of Ages.”
“Some of the most heartwarming support has been from Nick’s company of ‘Rock of Ages’ [Cordero starred in the production as Dennis]. They come and they walk the baby, they come and drop off food, they drop off flowers, they drop off wine,” Braff said. “It’s been so hard because we’re not supposed to touch each other and all you want to do is hold your friend and give them love. But this group of people are the most amazing company,...

After years of feuding, it looks as if the “old” Guns N’ Roses is back. Sort of. Even though they never really left… kind of. Look, they have a reunion coming up… partially, anyway.
Confused yet?
Pretty much every music fan not living under a particularly remote rock or the dark side of the moon for the past few decades knows the story of Guns N’ Roses. The huge debut, the excesses, the controversies, the membership changes and the eventual, complete implosion of the classic-era line-up. Steven Adler, Izzy Stradlin, Gilby Clarke (Stradlin’s original replacement), Slash, Duff McKagan – by the early 90s, they were dropping like flies. Come the late 90s, only singer Axl Rose and keyboardist Dizzy Reed remained, alongside a new group of musicians including The Replacements bassist Tommy Stinson.
While the most recent formation been the bands most stable in decades,...

Inevitably, Guns N’ Roses guitarist DJ Ashba must now be referred to as former Guns N’ Roses guitarist DJ Ashba. He joins a long list of axe-slingers to gain the “former” prefix, with everyone from Paul Tobias, to Slash, to Izzy Stradlin, to Buckethead, to Robin Finck, to Gilby Clarke joining and exiting the band over the years. There’s been a huge number of guest guitarists too, including Brian May and Dave Navarro, meaning that guitarists are to Gn’R what drummers were to Spinal Tap – disposable entities that change with the seasons.
Ashba had a decent innings. He was with the band for about 6 years, touring several times, although – in typical Gn’R fashion – he has yet to appear on an official studio release. Mainly because there hasn’t been one since 2008’s long-awaited Chinese Democracy. There’s no doubt that Ashba’s decision to leave...

Best known as the replacement guitarist for Guns N’ Roses founding member Izzy Stradlin; Gilby Clarke joined “the most dangerous band in the world” in May 1991 – just ten days shy of a sold out performance in New York’s Madison Square Garden. A talented guitarist in his own right he toured with the band for the entirety of their mammoth ‘Use Your Illusion’ World Tour as well as contributing his talents to Guns N’ Roses 1993 album ‘The Spaghetti Incident’
In 1994 Clarke launched his own solo album through Virgin Records entitled ‘Pawnshop Guitars’, arguably getting such big label interest for his first solo record because of the exposure earned in Gnr, which also came to an abrupt end in the same year when he was fired from the band. Guns N’ Roses suffered their own internal, and well documented, implosions while Clarke remained on good terms with Slash and Duff McKagan,...

Axl wasn't there, but Saturday night's (April 15) Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony did feature three original members of Guns N' Roses — Slash, Duff McKagan and Steven Adler — who jammed with former Gunners Gilby Clarke and Matt Sorum (plus Alter Bridge frontman Myles Kennedy stepping in to fill Rose's shoes) on a medley of the band's biggest hits.
Of course, there was also a cameo that only eagle-eyed fans of VH1 Classic's "That Metal Show" probably caught: The show's logo, worn squarely on Adler's chest.
Adler has appeared on "That Metal Show" before and is an avowed fan of the program — he even canceled a performance by his band Adler's Appetite in 2010 to appear as a guest.

Mr. Big has finally taken the plunge. Sex and the City's Chris Noth married his longtime fiancée, Tara Wilson, earlier this month. Like Carrie and Big, the couple had known each other for 10 years before tying the knot. Noth and Wilson had been engaged since 2009 and they're already the parents of a 4-year-old son.

The Prc has some problems with Titanic in 3-D. Apparently, the scene in which Rose (Kate Winslet) takes off her top to pose for Jack's drawing has been censored in China, and only shows the actress from the neck up. The Chinese State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television has stated that the scene was censored "out of consideration of building a harmonious ethical social environment." Well if that was the reason, one would think they would have edited out that overplayed, over-the-top, overwrought song rather than Winslet's breasts.

Los Angeles -- He spent two years in a federal lockup for trying to sell cocaine to undercover agents, and all Wayne Kramer can think about these days is trying to find a way to get back behind bars.
This time, though, the guitar god for rock music's seminal pre-punk band, the MC5, wants to bring his ax with him – and a few dozen others for the inmates to play.
With a little help from friends like the Foo Fighters' Chris Shiflett, former Guns `N Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke and others, Kramer has formed Jail Guitar Doors USA.
He runs the nonprofit charitable organization with his wife, Margaret, out of the Hollywood studio where he makes a comfortable living these days composing music for movies and television. Over the past two years, Jail Guitar Doors USA has delivered scores of instruments to prisons and jails in Nevada, California and Texas.

Ladies and gentleman, hell has possibly frozen over. Original Guns N’ Roses keyboardist Dizzy Reed claims that all original members of the iconic group will reunite at this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, talking place April 14 in Cleveland.
Reed discussed the jaw-dropping possibility with Billboard, saying, “I know all the original band is going to be there. I don’t’ know exactly what’s going to go down. It’s one of those things I’m sure will all come together and be really cool. I’m just going to go in with a good attitude and a clear head and grateful heart.”
While this could possibly induce hysterical celebration for many fans, Reed did not specify that the group will perform together, rather that they’ll simply all appear. Fans have been clamoring for a proper reunion since the classic lineup of the group – Slash,...
