Billy Brewster is an American guitarist, singer, producer, music supervisor and songwriter. Brewster is one of the founding members of the Rock Bands Wrath, High Voltage and Doubting Tomas.
Brewster has performed with members of Black Sabbath, DIO, Judas Priest, Journey, Cheap Trick, Ozzy, Megadeath, Steve Vai, Warren Haynes, KISS, Motely Crüe, Whitesnake, Extreme and Tesla on a variety of iconic stages including Whisky a Go Go, The Viper Room and Lucky Strike in Los Angeles, House of Blues in Las Vegas and Exit/In and Mercy Lounge in Nashville.
Brewster leads the band Doubting Tomas, whose fifth album, Ruins, will be released early in 2024. The album's lead single, "Stop Bitching Around", was produced by the iconic Eddie Kramer and features Brewster on lead guitar, Alex VanTrue on vocals and Jeff Rose on drums. The song has received positive reviews from many sources including world-renowned songwriter Desmond Child during a Nashville songwriting session. Desmond Child commented "the song should be on a Quentin Tarantino film today."
Brewster co-wrote the unreleased song "Daddy's Little Girl" with David Crosby, Jack Tempchin and Louise Goffin in 2015.
Brewster was the music supervisor on the 2021 film Rock Camp: The Movie working with Producers Kim Furst and Doug Blush and creator David Fishof.
Brewster worked with Journey keyboardist Jonathan Cain and legendary producer David Kalmusky at his Addiction Sounds Studios in Nashville to create a new version of Journey's song "I'll Be Alright Without You" in 2019.
