All the suspense is finally over with Tracker’s penultimate episode Off the Books aired on May 12. The show had a long way of teasing its fans with the arrival of a new character portrayed by Supernatural’s star Jensen Ackles, and the latter seems to have nailed it just like everyone wanted him to.
With Ackles playing the main character’s estranged brother, the fans were eager to see whether he would dare bring something from his Supernatural’s past back to the screen, but some specific details are just a whole new reason for the 2005 mystery show lovers to gasp in awe.
In the season 1 penultimate episode, Colter Shaw’s family tree starts coming out of the shadows as he’s unwillingly tracked down by his older brother Russell with the latter’s first phrase “Hi, little brother”.

While the Supernatural star isn’t new to playing a superhero, especially since his role as the Caped Crusader in the DC Animated Universe. However, one role had rumors going about left and right.

Like the song says, "Carry on, my wayward son. There'll be peace when you are done." Well, one out of two isn't bad because Jensen Ackles has definitely carried on, but he is far from done.
The long-time resident of the CW has had his handsome face shining on the small screen for almost thirty years in a little over twenty television main, recurring, and guest roles.
While Ackles could easily be considered one of the kings of Comic-Con, the demon hunter turned super soldier has graced the film industry a handful of times enough to make a few lasting impressions.
We've done the leg work for you and assembled some action-packed projects and titles the actor has starred in. While there will be some obvious choices, there might just be one or two that surprise even the most hardcore Jensen fans.

Jensen Ackles on Tracker: Colter Reunites With His Estranged Brother Russell in Exclusive Sneak Peek
The relationship between Colter and Russell Shaw is nothing like the relationship between Sam and Dean Winchester. That much is evident in TVLine’s exclusive sneak peek at Jensen Ackles’ Tracker debut.
Ackles guest-stars in the penultimate Season 1 episode of the hit CBS drama as Colter’s estranged sib. They team up after Russell asks Colter to help “to track down a former army buddy who’s gone missing after several weeks of paranoid behavior,” according to the official synopsis. “The investigation takes the brothers into the world of Special Forces missions, shady off-the-books programs and conspiracy theories” — as our clip reveals,...

CBS’ Tracker is seemingly aiming at expanding Colter Shaw’s inner world drama with some exciting guest stars’ appearance — and so many fans are hoping to see much more than just a one-episode-long family affair.
With the recent news revealed by Tracker’s leading actor Justin Hartley himself, Jensen Ackles’ cameo in the penultimate episode of the show’s first season is getting more anticipation than everything that we’ll get to see in the finale.
Though so far nothing can be said about how big Ackles’ role will get to be in the series, the actor’s fans think his previous experience may help him land something more than just a quick cameo.
Jensen Ackles has recently been confirmed to take up the role of Russell Shaw, Colter’s alienated older brother captured in several flashbacks earlier, but the role was given to Mathew Nelson-Mahood back then.

CBS’ Tracker has become a major hit even before the show managed to get to its season 1’s finale — and the second season is already on its way while Tracker still has two more episodes to air with.
Given the show’s growing popularity, it wouldn’t be very surprising to see some familiar faces in the recurring roles, and the series itself is already on it — with a famous actor whose role actually makes a lot of sense.
Jensen Ackles Joins Tracker
The big secret was unveiled by Tracker’s leading actor Justin Hartley who took it to social media to post a video proving that none other than Jensen Ackles will make his entrance in the show.
The Supernatural’s veteran will get to portray Colter Shaw’s brother in the upcoming episode that is set to be released on April 28.

Move over, Sam and Dean Winchester, there are some new supernatural mystery solvers on the scene. The Dead Boy Detectives are taking over the ghost-hunting and demon-hunting duties on Netflix, and they're adding in British accents and the fact that they are dead themselves. Edwin Paine and Charles Rowland are DC comic book characters created by Neil Gaiman, but they have a lot more in common with the Winchesters than meets the eye.
To understand the Netflix take on Dead Boy Detectives, you have to first understand how the show arrived on the streamer in the first place. It was originally intended as a spin-off of Doom Patrol after Sebastian Croft and Ty Tennant portrayed the ghostly sleuthing duo in Season 3. Steve Yockey (Supernatural) was developing the series when Max dropped it because it didn't fit in with new DC bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran's vision for the DC cinematic universe.

The Boys has been collecting cast and crew members from Supernatural like they are Infinity Stones. It started off with showrunner, Eric Kripke, who was the mastermind behind both the series; which was followed by Jim Beaver and Jeffery Dean Morgan, who appeared in the trailer for the fourth season. Ever since Jensen Ackles showed up in the third season of the superhero satire, fans of the hit CW series have wondered when the other half of the Winchester brothers will arrive.

Among such interactions the two have had, one resulted in Jensen Ackles being convinced that their wives were questioning their life choices and searching for an out. It all happened during the SeaCon16, where The Boys alum talked about his partner, Danneel Ackles’ reaction to his ‘Dean’ voice. For 15 long years, Jensen Ackles played one of the protagonists, Dean Winchester, in Eric Kripke’s fantasy drama series Supernatural. In August 2020, it was announced that Ackles and Kripke were joining forces once again in the third season of the latter’s satirical superhero series, The Boys. Ackles, who played Ben / B.C.L. Red / Soldier Boy joked in an interview that Supernatural might be the reason why his arc in The Boys was made so dark and Nsfw.

Kripke served as a showrunner on Supernatural during its first five seasons and developed a great friendship with Ackles. The series was intended for a TV audience and couldn’t explore much into violence or other mature content. However, Kripke’s superhero series created for Amazon Prime Video had no such restrictions.

After Supernatural wrapped up its fifteen season run back in 2020, the franchise was supposed to live on through the prequel series The Winchesters… but then the show’s home network The CW was taken over by a new management team that came in with the intention of wiping the CW slate clean for the most part. The Winchesters was cancelled after one season, then couldn’t find a new home because it had to be shopped around during the writers strike, when networks and streamers were hesitant to make major pickup decisions. But maybe that’s not the end for Supernatural after all. During an appearance at the Creation Honolulu convention earlier this month, the show’s stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles implied there’s more Winchester action to come. Could we see a Supernatural season 16 someday?

For the longest time, people sought out films at the movie theater to be scared out of their minds.
These 13 TV shows prove that television can be scary, too.
We're willing to bet at least one of them will raise the hairs on the back of your neck!
1. The X-Files (Fox) From aliens to conspiracies to so much more, the truth is out there. So is the fear factor. After a recent rewatch, what was the most terrifying about The X-Files was how much of the series leaned heavily into the government's actions (or inaction). The aliens seemed like pussycats by comparison. You can watch the full series on Hulu. (Photo Credit: Key art courtesy of Fox) 2. The Walking Dead (AMC) Zombies. Blood. Violence. Death. Who knew at the beginning of the franchise that the really terrifying aspect would be the humans left among the dead? There's nothing worse than an intelligent monster,...

CW’s Supernatural is one of the most iconic sci-fi horror series of the 2000s, with a loyal fan base that’s grown for decades throughout its 15 seasons. From fighting demons to angels and vampires, the series follows two brothers, Sam Winchester (Jared Padelecki )and Dean Winchester ( Jensen Ackles) whose lives revolve around hunting the supernatural beings in the world. While the Winchesters are the main draw of the series, Sam and Ruby’s relationship was one of the most iconic pairings in its earlier seasons. Although their relationship isn’t healthy and only lasts two seasons, it greatly impacts Sam and...

A lot of false rumors spread quickly because, while they may not have any supporting evidence, we can all kind of see the reasoning behind them. For instance, people believe the rumor that the killers in "Scream 2" were changed at the last second because that's the impression the movie itself gives. More recently, people believed that viral story of Jerry Seinfeld chastising Jimmy Fallon for being rude to his employee because, well, it sounded like the sort of thing both guys would do.
On the same note, it's easy to see how people believed that Jensen Ackles, the beloved actor who played Dean Winchester on "Supernatural" and Soldier Boy on "The Boys," once auditioned for the role of Captain America. The role, which would instead be taken up by Chris Evans, is exactly the sort of character we know Ackles could play: He's a strong, noble super-soldier, one without...

A few weeks ago, we heard that The CW had cancelled the Supernatural prequel series The Winchesters after just one season – which wasn’t a major surprise, since The CW is under new management that is looking to wipe the slate clean for the most part. But being cancelled by The CW didn’t necessarily have to mean that The Winchesters was dead, because the show’s producers at Warner Bros. Television had the chance to find a new home for it on another network or at a streaming service. Unfortunately, Deadline reports that no one was interested in picking up The Winchesters, so the show is now officially over.
The Winchesters came from Warner Bros Television and CBS Studios. Glen Winter (Supergirl) directed and executive produced the pilot episode. This show was executive produced by Supernatural star Jensen Ackles and his wife Danneel through their company Chaos Machine Productions.

Update Saturday: The Winchesters executive producer Jensen Ackles weighed in on the series officially ending after no new network home could be found.
“With a massive Network shift coupled with an industry strike…welp…that’s some unfortunate timing,” he said on Twitter, thanking fans who rallied to try and save the show following its cancellation by the CW.
Previous Friday: The Supernatural franchise is coming to end — at least for now — as The Winchesters has not been able to get a second season anywhere. Producing studio Warner Bros. Television’s efforts to set up the Supernatural prequel series at another network or streaming platform following its cancellation by the CW have been unsuccessful. All possible avenues have been exhausted, and the search for a new home has come to an end, despite a strong #SaveTheWinchesters campaign led by series executive producer (and Supernatural star) Jensen Ackles.

A couple months ago, Robbie Thompson – showrunner of the Supernatural prequel series The Winchesters – expressed uncertainty as to whether or not his show was going to get a second season now that The CW is being retooled. Now it’s official: The CW has cancelled The Winchesters after just one season.
Kung Fu has also been cancelled after three seasons. The CW provided the following statement to Variety: “As we reimagine the new CW, we had to make some tough programming decisions. We thank our partners at Warner Bros. and the casts and creative teams of Kung Fu and The Winchesters for all their hard work, creativity and dedication.“
The Winchesters‘ chance of continuing appeared to drop in a major way once Mark Pedowitz left as head of the network. Supernatural was already in its sixth season when Pedowitz joined The CW, but he was an established fan who had seen every episode to date.

The CW’s hit series “Supernatural” lasted a staggering 15 seasons, but it looks like spinoff prequel “The Winchesters” won’t be making it that far. In fact, it’s already been cancelled.
After just One season, The CW has pulled the plug on “The Winchesters.”
Deadline reports, “The CW has opted not to pick up a second season of The Winchesters. The news is not surprising; the Supernatural prequel was among the long-shot renewal prospects at the network under its new ownership as it focuses on unscripted and lower-cost scripted programming (primarily international acquisitions/co-productions) in pursuit of profitability.”
The good news for fans of the show? Warner Bros. Television is reportedly looking for a new home for “The Winchesters,” so there’s a chance it could be picked up by someone else.

Paris Hilton is a name that is synonymous with the word “famous.” The heiress to the Hilton hotel empire has been in the spotlight for over two decades, from her infamous reality show to her fragrance and fashion lines.
In 2009, however, she made an unexpected guest appearance on the popular TV series, Supernatural, playing a fictionalized version of herself. Despite her limited acting experience, Hilton impressed the show’s creator, who praised her for being a “hell of a good sport.”
Paris Hilton starred in an episode of ‘Supernatural’
In Supernatural Season 5, Hilton appeared in the fifth episode titled, “Fallen Idols.” In the episode, Sam and Dean Winchester, the show’s protagonists, investigate a case where famous people’s dead bodies are coming back to life and killing their fans. According to IMDb, Hilton played herself, but with a twist. She was a pagan goddess that the Winchester brothers had to defeat.

They had many friends and allies come and go — but the two remained the show's leading stars, and everything else revolved around them.
When Misha Collins' Castiel walked in, the show felt truly complete — the actor's performance as the serious yet charming angel and his ability to put the brothers in their place made "Supernatural" a lot more fun. Castiel went on to become a staple of the show, a breakout character, if you will, and remained loved for over a decade. He frequently came across as a character who lacked foresight; he was often clueless, and he didn't understand sarcasm ... or what Sam and Dean were up to most of the time. Castiel slowly adapted to life on Earth, evolving into an irreplaceable member of the Winchester family.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Winchesters Season 1 finale “Hey, That’s No Way to Say Goodbye.”] The Winchesters Season 1 finale has opened up the world of Supernatural to all possibilities, even more than the original series had with the introduction of the multiverse. And while the new series’ future is now up in the air — especially given what’s going on at The CW right now — it would be a shame if this was the last we saw of the world of Supernatural in some form. The original series ran 15 seasons, from 2005 to 2020, following Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) “saving people, hunting things, the family business,” with both ultimately ending up in heaven following their deaths. Then, in the prequel, The Winchesters, we got their parents’ love story… or so we thought. The Season 1 finale revealed that Ackles was playing the Dean we’d seen for 15 seasons, yes, but after he...

The CW series Supernatural was already in its sixth season when Mark Pedowitz became head of the network, but he was an established fan who had seen every episode to date. And as the series continued through the 15 season run that Pedowitz enabled, the network head was so supportive that Supernatural stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles – who played monster-hunting brothers Sam and Dean Winchester on the show – came to think of him as “the other Winchester”. Pedowitz was still the head of The CW when the Supernatural prequel series The Winchesters was ordered, but last year Nexstar Media Group acquired a controlling interest in the network and Pedowitz exited his post. The Winchesters‘ first season just finished airing, and showrunner Robbie Thompson told TV Line he’s not sure if there will be a season 2 at The CW now that Pedowitz is gone.
